Performing at CICAF was AMAZING. I was very nervous beforehand but once we got up on the stage everything was just perfect and it was so much fun! Our performance went without a hitch and we got really, really good feedback on it afterwards. During the awards ceremony, the first place and runner-up were announced, but we heard afterwards that we got THIRD PLACE!! :D I think I almost cried! :D It is such an honour to hear something like that and I am so, so happy that the Chinese audience enjoyed our costumes and skit. <33 #cosplay #cicaf #guildwarscosplay #guildwars2 #armor #Norn #worbla #gw2cosplay #gw2 #stage

Right after the stage performance, we went to a theme park to see a dance show. I didn't think I'd ever be the entertainment in a theme park, but people seemed to really like the cosplayers xD Even though I'd taken off some armor because it was sooo warm! Today was performance day! AND IT WAS AMAZING! The stage was wonderful, the lights, the video we made for the background, it was perfect! Day 2 of CICAF! Today we went sightseeing at West Lake, the shopping district and a fan museum. The weather and scenery are so lovely here! Apparently we are a quite an attraction to the locals because we got asked for photo’s so much! And we are not even in costume yet. xD

Our connection with facebook is too spotty to post anything, but we are safe and sound in China. :D The hotel is just gorgeous! We are meeting the other teams tonight.

Anna’s outfit is done!!! Which is good because we leave for China in 3 days! Aaaaah so excited!!! :’D ♥  ♥  ♥ I’m super curious what it will be like to be a guest at China international cartoon & animation festival [CICAF] !!! ♥

Wooooh!! I finished all the last pieces for my Daydreamer’s Finery cosplay from Guild Wars 2. I’ll be wearing the full outfit in 2 weeks because then I’ll be leaving for China together with Sophie for the CICAF finals!!! I’m so excited!!!! ♥  ♥  ♥

We’re going to China in April 2016! ♥ ♥ ♥

At Animecon 2015 we participated in the CICAF (China International Cartoon & Animation Festival) preliminaries for the honor of being Team Netherlands. We performed with our Dawn of Mana costumes of Ritzia and Anise. After many months of sewing and crafting we were finally on that stage and we were so happy with our performance. :D ( You can watch it here: Animecon 2015 CICAF Preliminaries - Dawn of Mana ♥)

At the award ceremony suddenly our team name was called as one of the winners!!! ♥ Now we’re preparing for the finals of CICAF and we’re very very excited to perform again in Hangzhou, China! :D

Once we’re there we have no idea if we can post updates from China, but I’ve heard tumblr still works there so... who knows~ ^^
