sherlock holmes things I think about sometimes:
- “Sterndale sprang to his feet. ‘I believe that you are the devil himself!’ he cried. Holmes smiled at the compliment.” HEE
- “Holmes, who loathed every form of society with his whole Bohemian soul, remained in our lodgings in Baker Street, buried among his old books, and alternating from week to week between cocaine and ambition, the drowsiness of the drug, and the fierce energy of his own keen nature.” (he’s so relatable tbh)
- “Watson. Come at once if convenient. If inconvenient, come all the same.” (bestie moment)
- “The good Watson had at that time deserted me for a wife, the only selfish action I can recall in our association. I was alone.” (bestie you’re so clingy honestly <3 )
- “I never can resist a touch of the dramatic.” (WE KNOW)
- “…you are a conductor of light. Some people without possessing genius have a remarkable power of stimulating it. I confess, my dear fellow, that I am very much in your debt.”
- “In his tweed suit and cloth cap he looked like any other tourist upon the moor, and he had contrived, with that catlike love of personal cleanliness which was one of his characteristics, that his chin should be as smooth and his linen as perfect as if he were in Baker Street.” (Holmes gets compared to cats very frequently I love it)
