Realizing that spring break is still EIGHT FULL WEEKS AWAY.
When kids who are always starting drama try to garner my sympathy when it comes back to bite them.
@ anons who come to me with various ‘hypothetical’ teacher/student relationships thinking they ~got me~ this time…
When a kid is explaining why they “had” to punch someone on the playground.
When I notice a typo in something I literally just made 25 copies of.
When the principal is in the room and one of the kids is acting up.
When my teacher friends and I hang out and inevitably end up talking about whatever nonsense is going on in our schools.
When students are rude to me and then need a favor from me later.
Me during those summer days when I’m not even sure what day of the week it is and don’t even care.
When the job I applied for calls me to set up an interview.
When a student found a feather on the playground and presented it to me as a gift.
Whenever the answer in math ends up being 21, and the entire class yells it back at me in that annoying voice from that annoying vine that I now hate with every fiber of my being.
When the kids throw classroom supplies with no regard to safety.
My first year of teaching.
When the kids are misbehaving and I start writing their names down one by one on my clipboard without telling them why.
