man. i remember feeling defeated election night 2020, then a few days later felt undefeated, but something about this time around just feels horribly different in a bad, bad way.
i mean, i'm delusional, so i'm definitely still on the red mirage train, HOWEVER. i'm also trying to be fuckin realistic here, at least to an extent

Nearly 14,000 mail ballots in Nevada have signature issues
Officials urge residents to use online tool to check if ballot was accepted
The total number of ballots — 13,906 — needing curing include 6,383 from registered nonpartisan or other voters, 4,026 from Democrats and 3,497 from Republicans.
The deadline for voters to cure their ballots is 5 p.m. Nov. 12, officials said. Ballots can be cured here.
The main issue they're having with young voters is that Nevada allows for voter registration through the Department of Motor Vehicles, and the "signatures" are digital (the licensee types it into a form), so their hand-written signatures on their ballots don't match the KEYSTROKES that serve as signatures on their license.
It would be hilarious if it weren't so fucking infuriating.
Please share so Nevada folks see this and can cure their ballots and help people close to them do so!
signature verification is the dumbest fucking thing. it has never been actually particularly verified to work and it has very obvious false negatives.

I think. It is enormously enormously frustrating to endure the leftist rhetoric about voting third party, single issue voting, “both candidates are just as bad,” “Kamala is a cop,” “it’s not worth voting,” etc. all over social media for months and months and knowing that the trump cultists, meanwhile, will turn up in swarms to vote red down the ballot.
One of the commentators on msnbc was talking about a shift in this election where one party candidate could basically do or say anything and may not gain votes, but certainly won’t lose votes (trump) whilst the other party (Kamala and by extension Joe) lost votes with even the smallest misspoken or wrong or forgotten words. And that rings so true and it’s so beyond horrifying.

not sure if anyone else can relate but i'm so torn between giving up any ounce of hope, and wanting to hold onto the small chance that similar to what happened in 2020, harris will somehow actually pull through. because i keep seeing information and opinions going both ways (both ways being 1) kamala's underperforming in key places that even in 2020, biden was not or 2) kamala's underperformance is similar to when trump tweeted STOP THE COUNT while certain states were still leaning in his favor, before everything was officially counted)
like. it's so over. i know it is. but i also know crazy fucking things have happened before (cough cough 2016 looking at you) and i can't help but (probably) stupidly holding onto that small chance that we're just leaping to conclusions before all mail in ballots are counted, before those who are STILL in line's votes have been counted....
i dunno. my brain keeps switching back and forth but i can't help but feel that's just me trying to prevent myself from having a huge breakdown lol
