@tattoopoo / tattoopoo.tumblr.com

A blog for posting people's poor decisions. Bad linework, shading, composition, etc. My blog primarily exists to showcase what not to do when getting a tattoo (and 4 lulz) If your jimmies are rustled over being on here, direct yourself to my ask page. Doesn't mean I will take it down. If you (or someone you know) have a bad tattoo, feel free to submit it.

This is honestly a good photo series of why NOT to get a white ink tattoo.

You see how this person didn’t get the 'faded to nothing' but rather got 'faded to pus yellow'?

That is one of two outcomes of white ink tattoos.

Ok, you know, have your opinions and whatever but you can shove your whole holier-than-thou attitude right up your ass. The person who has this tattoo obviously likes it or they wouldn’t have posted it and you have no right to come in and be a dick about it. If you don’t like white ink, don’t get one, but you can fuck right off with trying to degrade the people who do like them.

You getting your knickers twisted doesn’t change the reality that white ink tattoos are:

A) Not something any competent artist would consent to doing as competent artists don’t want their name or their shop attached to shoddy work.

B) Going to fade to either nothing or to pus yellow.

Those things are facts, whether they hurt your pweshus fee-fees or not.

You’re thinking it actually matters if the OP likes it or not; if they do, that’s awesome, they’re allowed to like their own pus yellow, upside down tattoo if they want to.

If they don’t want public comment on the pictures they posted publicly, then I’d recommend they not post publicly.

That set of pictures is still an exceptionally good photoset showing exactly why it’s a terrible idea to get a white ink tattoo: It will turn out either pus yellow or invisible, and most people don’t have that in mind when they ignorantly go in wanting a white ink tattoo.

I say that as someone who WANTED a white ink tattoo; four shops and six artists told me no and detailed why, and it took that long to get it through my thick skull that what I wanted wasn’t a good idea.

I’m incredibly thankful I eventually listened to them and didn’t end up with what looked like pus lines on my arm.
