Buddies For Life

Some FACTS being ignored all the time:

1. This is an adult Little Owl (Athene noctua); and it is NOT the buddy of that kitten.

2. Little Owls usually inhabit in Europe or China, so this one probably is smuggled to Japan.

3. The claws of the owl are bound obviously, so it doesn’t enjoy stay with the kitten or in an coffee shop.

4. To pet an owl or even force it stay in a coffee shop with a cat is cruel. And it is ABUSIVE, because owls are wild animals and it should live in wild. It cannot be kept as a pet. You cannot offer the nutrition and the food variety they need. You cannot offer enough space they need. Many pet owls have serious behavior problems, or claws disease, or malnutrition. And they are very shy and very sensitive animals. Human beings are monsters to them, so for the most of time, they are in the state of stress. It’s a severe torture to them. Many owls can die under such great stress. It’s VERY CRUEL. It’s not cute at all.

5. In the last picture, it didn’t sleep with the kitten. In fact, as an adult bird, it’s probably trying to mate with the kitten :(

6. Owls usually look quite cute (I love them too) no matter they’re being tortured or not, but they are not pets and they shall NEVER be kept in a house or a coffee shop with their paws bound by belt. How to judge if an owl is abused or not? Just look at it’s claws. If they are bound, they are definitely being abused. No matter what the owner says or who the owners are (ignorant individuals, cruel coffee shop owners, FAKE educational institutes or FAKE rescue centers etc.)

They belong to the wild nature. They are at their best when they live in nature:

Last but not least, I know in many countries it’s not illegal for falconry or to keep owls as pet, but it doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. Ask yourself one thing:

If you can fly FREELY and hunt FREELY under the sky, do you still want to be bound by a belt FOREVER or be kept indoors for your WHOLE LIFE, or be starved and tortured and trained so that you can hunt – not for yourself – but for some monsters only, just because some monsters think you are cute or beautiful to handle?
