Best 2017 Kisses #1 - Outlander’s Claire Fraser & Jamie Fraser
What defines a perfect TV kiss? Let’s start out by the obvious and offer up a baseline acknowledgement that any character can give a kiss. Or receive a smooch for that matter. However on TV, it’s not just about two sets of lips coming together. There is the viewer to consider. We, the television watcher, need to feel the emotion as if we are part of the scene. We, in our front row seat, must capture the feeling of love as if it was our own. It’s no easy feat for an actor or actress, but when it happens, it’s absolutely magical. It’s possible to reference a perfect kiss as an extraordinary neb, a delicate lip-lock, or a mind-blowing suaviation. call these breathtaking smooches whatever you want, but if the viewer isn’t satisfied, it’s nothing more than a motion in action. Getting the passion through the camera takes emotion that fans must feel without force.
Combing through hundreds of TV kisses in 2017, we’ve come across some amazing smooches that stand the test of the camera.
If you’re an Outlander viewer, you already know the amazing chemistry between Claire Fraser and Jamie Fraser. When the two embrace on screen, viewers find themselves intertwined in the moment as every kiss seems like their first.

Okay, there are countless big and small moments between Jamie and Claire in season three, even if they do spend half of it apart. Narrowing it down to five is not easy, but I managed! So check out below for my five favorite moments between the Outlaw and his Sassenach: 5.) When Jamie Comforted Claire, Who Was Missing Brianna in The Doldrums
Jamie may not have ever met his daughter, but he can understand missing your child.
4.) Jamie and Claire Talking Dirty in The Eye of the Storm
They may have had a tough go ahead of them, what with the whole “storm and shipwreck” business, but leave it to our favorite married couple to use their break between freeing Ian and losing him again to spend some… ahem… quality time together.
3.) They Joke About Young Lovers, But Can’t Keep Their Eyes Off Each Other in The Bakra
This one gets two gifs, because the love and attraction is palpable and if I’ve been talking to them it’d be getting mighty awkward, mighty fast. They clearly have eyes only for each other and, after so long apart (both on the show and for us viewers), I’m happy to sit back and enjoy the chemistry.
2.) They Give Fergus a Name in Uncharted
While their reunion on the beach is another beautiful moment for the two, I can’t get over how lovely this little moment was. We know they both have children they’ve lost, both together and separately, but Fergus is possibly the most tangible connection they have to each other in the past. The love between all of them when he officially becomes a member of their family is quiet and sweet and I loved it so much.
1.) Their Reunion After 20 Years Apart in A. Malcolm
I know this can’t be a surprise, by the time the episode aired, we were dying for them to be reunited as much as they were. From Jamie fainting to Claire showing him pictures of Brianna, the reunion was everything a viewer and/or reader could hope for.

A Wedding 1x7 & 3x11
Although Jamie & Claire are already husband and wife, when I watched Fergus and Marsali wed, I could not help but feel that this was their second wedding.
It felt as if two old friends married each other anew. Except this time it was a mutual, deep, & passionate love.
As soon as I saw them kiss, the lovely Jane Austen quote came to my mind from the novel Emma:
“Marry me my wonderful, darling friend.”
Blessed by a priest, their union has been sealed once more.
Two lost lovers, two dear friends can choose one another all over again.

“Fraser,” said a deep, sure voice beside me. Fergus and Marsali both glanced back in surprise, and Jamie nodded. His eyes met Fergus’s, and he smiled faintly.
“Fergus Claudel Fraser,” he said, slowly and clearly. One eyebrow lifted as he looked at Fergus.
Fergus himself looked transfixed. His mouth hung open, eyes wide black pools in the dim light. Then he nodded slightly, and a glow rose in his face, as though he contained a candle that had just been lit.
“Fraser,” he said to the priest. His voice was husky, and he cleared his throat. “Fergus Claudel Fraser.”
