Disney Tangled - Website Clip 2 (HD)
This is the little from Disney’s official Tangled site. I didn’t capture the video (if that’s what they did), but you can still find it in use on the site here.
This is the HD clip but there is also a longer version here.
I just love the way he looks at her. Like he's just totally into her, and he can't help but look at her and try to get her attention.
I wish Tangled was getting a sequel that was crafted with as much love and creative devotion as HTTYD. A sequel somewhere between Tangled and Tangled Ever After, giving us more time with the character we love so much.
Not only am I disappointed that Disney won't try to expand on their successful Tale, I'm also afraid that if they tried, they movie would end up being sort of half-ass.
Other animation studios made sequels. And they put just as much heart into them as they put into the first. Why can't Disney do the same?
To elaborate:
FYI, all sequels to Disney Animated movies have not been animated or made by Walt Disney Animation Studios, except for the Rescuers Down Under. The animators did some great animation, but in the end the characters and story just didn't seem to belong to the same universe as the original films (with the exception of maybe the Lion King sequels).
I just want to see the story guys take a Disney princess movie and go even farther with it. Prove that it's not just about princes and princesses, that it's about characters. I think Tangled has some pretty solid characters, and very fun, beautiful world that would be great for the audience to return to.
The reason why I don't want it to be after Tangled Ever After is because I think it would be important that Rapunzel and Eugene not be at that level of confidence in their relationship where they are married. It would just be better for the story, and it makes it more interesting. It would also prevent them from having children yet. And I think I would die if there was an entire movie about Rapunzel and Eugene's kids rather than about Rapunzel and Eugene themselves. (but it would be fun if you saw their kids at the beginning or end of the movie, like it turns out their kids are the ones Eugene has been telling the story to).
“Beauty in all she is.”
This is such an excellent comparison! (I only wish it wasn't a gif.)
Rather than being totally entranced by the magical powers of Rapunzel's hair, Eugene is actually kind of spooked. I think Eugene's slight antagonism towards Rapunzel's hair is an interesting part of the story, and his character, and his romance with Rapunzel. It's almost like he knew that the hair was somehow in the way of a relationship with Rapunzel. And also, it explains why he cut her hair first chance he got--because he sees it as a something that is holding Rapunzel back.
But most importantly, in this scene, Eugene is clearly very uncomfortable with magic.
Happy Easter!
As Easter and springtime celebrations are supposed to be about the return to life, I thought this image would be very fitting.
I also like how, in this scene, Eugene does not appear peaceful in death, but rather, he appears uncomfortable, like he had something to live for but his life was cut short. That makes it all the sweeter when he comes back to life.
I always wonder what this gasp is all about. Is she shocked simply by Flynn falling out of the closet, or is she kind of shocked by the fact that he's still unconscious?
I like to think it's probably the latter. She can't be that careless of someone else's health, even if she is scared.
After getting my hair cut. Every. Time.
DUDE you chopped off my hair YOU JERK.
IJK..
EUGENE: Don't mind me; I've just collapsed because I'm dying.
