the context is that a trans woman said having sex with your friends is fine and cool actually and alot of people got mad about that (something something sex is a sacred bond you have with one monogamous partner forever) and when asked about the risks of getting hiv she gave the answer "i take pills so that doesn't happen" and people got really mad at that because they think aids should be a divine punishment for people who don't live in a heterosexual monogamous lifestyle, and i am tired.

you're completely right these people genuinely think if you catch hiv you should either die or live in self-hating misery, the idea that someone can have hiv and not only be happy but also still have sex is against "god's plan" or some bullshit like that.

Okay. I see the fandom panicking and even starting to destroy itself...

For the ones who still love GO and would continue to love it as they always did but is judged because of ONE☝️ person's actions that might or might not be true, know you're safe here and I wouldn't judge you for loving GO despite Neil's accusations.

Because you gotta keep in mind that this show AND book are also Terry's. And you have to keep in mind that Neil wasn't alone in that project. Think about all the people that worked on the show, whether it's the crew or the actors. They're absolutely innocent, so why would you spit on their work as if they were guilty too ? Of course none of them would support Neil's actions if it's true, that doesn't mean we have to throw every poster or book or drawing or delete every fanfic or even stop writing fanfic because of this as if everyone were in the same boat.

These accusations are about Neil and Neil only and I would find it kinda sad that this story would be thrown away despite Terry had worked on it too, despite it also was in his memory. Ofc, if it's true, it's obvious Terry wouldn't be okay with it either but does that mean a story fully achieved and their characters have to be condemned with Gaiman ? Mostly when now, a lot of illustrators, writers and animators made it their own ? Mostly when it somehow saved many people's lives ? Mostly when this book or show had made people laugh and cry ?

This fandom is stronger than that.

Let's not mix everything.

Would you find it appropriate to talk about GO to the victims ? Obviously, no. For the sole reason that it's not. the same. thing. We have to put things back in their places. GO is GO, harassment and s*xual aggression are what they are. And it would be incredibly disrespectful to mix both.

So, my point is. Don't be ashamed to love GO despite what's happening. Don't feel guilty for supporting a show while you don't support the author. Don't let the fandom die because of one person's actions when there's so many people who worked on it almost just as much. I understand you're upset, I understand you'd think it might be hypocritical to love a show with the creator being accused of horrible things. But make the difference.

And I can assure you, if Neil is not guilty (and if he is, I hope the victims will get justice and Neil will have what he deserves) I'm pretty sure that he's not thinking about Good Omens at all right now, but just thinking about sorting this out and clearing his name as every innocent person would need to do so.

So, whether the truth is hurtful or a relief, let's keep the GO fandom going. For if it's hurtful, we will make Terry's story alive for his and many people's sake, and if it's a relief, we would have been doing things right by not jumping into conclusions.

Either way, you're welcome here and you're safe with me. Keep loving. Spread some joy. Don't let Neil's possible actions stain a wonderful story that is not only his own ❤️

So, you know how in season three, Oswald gets dressed up and does his make-up specifically to go and break up with Isabella for Ed. I’m particularly thinking of his really nice coat that tapers off into gold sleeves and tails that’s really shiny…

Anyway, I always thought it was a shame Oswald didn’t wear this coat anywhere else (because, honestly, it is a look) but it also made me chuckle because it shows how freaking petty he is, getting all dressed to break up with this interloper…

However! It took me rewatching Gotham to realise that Oswald actually *had* worn that coat before in the Season 2 finale, in the scene when he stops the bus, thinking he would face Hugo Strange when it turned out to be Fish.

This means that the last time Oswald wore this gorgeous, glittering, golden coat he had set out into Gotham in the dead of night with a bunch of men, armed to the teeth, ready to kill Hugo Strange, the man who had tortured him brutally and horrifically, altering his own identity and traumatising him for years after. 

This coat is a coat of WAR, a coat he wore to kill his most hated enemy after Galavan and Tabitha, a coat he was ready to murder in - and the next time he puts it on is to see Isabella.

If that isn’t a power move I don’t know what is.

Lux, girl, she was so stunning in her number, as she always does. Her makeup is always so polished and can always deliver an amazing performance. It was so well thought out 👏👏

Oh man, Daegans number was legendary. The way she killed each of the get dusted girls off was so iconic 😂 I couldn’t stop laughing at Daya with the insulin and scalping Lux 😅

Aiden, Abhora and Yovska were so amazing too! I’ve never quite seen an act like Abhoras before, it gave me the chills, so creepy yet so good! Yovska was so entertaining with her piñata look and Aiden was iconic, she was really selling that song 👏👏👏

The final group number was truly stunning and deserves an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, golden globe, BAFTA (all of the awards)

Let me tell you how great Lottie is. 1. She has EVERYTHING. This girl can literally have anything she wants and instead of hanging out with girls of her social class she’s friends with a poor girl. 2. Not only is she below her social class but she is African American which back in the twenties was COMPLETELY frowned upon. Lottie is risking social status to be friends with Tia. 3. When Tia and Naveen end up together in the end, Lottie doesn’t throw a fit or act upset, she is genuinely happy that Tiana has found true love even though that’s all Lottie has ever wanted her whole life. Something that her daddy can’t buy for her. 4. She’s true to herself and doesn’t let others judge her just because of how much money she has and she has a wonderful friend like Tiana that loves her for that. Lottie is wonderful and is highly underrated.

Also I’m positive that Lottie has offered a million times to pay for Tiana’s dream because she wanted to help but eventually stopped when Tiana made it clear she wants to achieve her goal by herself.

Also when the supposed Prince Naveen arrives at the masquerade ball, Lottie pulls herself away from dancing to help Tiana clean herself up when her for stand and knocked over, and even loans her one of her many princess gowns without hesitating. She more than willing to put her own happiness on hold the minute she sees Tia in bad state and never ever one forgets who her friends are no matter how close she gets to what she wants.

Oh wow! I never thought about that quote in the context of the scene where Ed and Oswald walk away together from the hospital 😮 I doubt it was done on purpose but it is truly fitting since they have always been a pretty unstoppable villain duo when they work together so “walking with a friend in the dark” it’s their way of life lol

Also, it’s kind of interesting how this quote really applies to Ed overall since he is one of the characters that started his arc in the “light” while working for the GCPD with Jim but he was always “alone” since most people didn’t like him. Once he turned to the “dark” side, he was able to assert himself more and form his friendship with Oswald.

As requested by @esperata, there is no “me” without “him”.

It’s interesting how Lucius refers to Oswald as “Penguin” and Ed makes it more personal by calling him “Oswald” as if he was suddenly remembering everything he had done for him and recognizing how much he had meant to him despite all his denials throughout this episode.

In this single moment, Ed seems to acknowledge the truth of his situation. That at the end of it all, Oswald was truly the only one who understood him and accepted him while also being his equal. Ed’s face reflects all his emotions of sadness, regret, loneliness, and yearning and it’s just amazing that Cory can portray so much in his expressions in one scene.

I know it’s really obvious but I want to say again how much I love how these two can be so natural with each other, even after all they’ve been through.

Ed has never had to hide any part of himself from Penguin. In fact Oswald helped him accept the parts he was struggling with.

And Oswald knows Ed has not only seen him at his worst but still respected him despite it.

That’s a level of trust and acceptance very few people find in their lives.
