I'm a cyberpunk queen who's obsessed with novelties, interior design and video games. If you need someone to talk about cinema, I'm your gal!

Somehow I missed this or it didn't register when I first watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem..

Apparently in this continuity Master Splinter instructed the Turtles partly from watching Kung Fu movies but also partly from an instructional video tape by Kerry Li..

Turns out this is the very same Kerry Li that had a very successful Karate school in my home town that I attended in the 90's!

So, small world and the current Ninja Turtles have something in common with me!

I remember going to Karate camp with him and his school back in the day..

Fun fact: when I was a purple belt in Kerry Li Katate I was learning the bo. So I was like Donatello.. my favorite turtle!

BioShock show on Netflix

Such a development could be significant if accurate. I sincerely hope they maintain the aesthetic and tone of the original BioShock game, echoing the early mid-century modern style. It would be ideal to keep the atmosphere strictly in line with the first installment, avoiding any elements from subsequent games.

Update: It's not real (and I never said it was) and is just a mock-up... But it could have been cool..

P.S. I know about previous attempts like the one by Gore Verbinski that's ancient history and I'm over it by now TBH

Forgotten 70's Sci-Fi Films

TBH I've never forgotten about any of the films in this list.. I have them all in the best quality except for "Damnation Alley" (1977) and "War in Space" 1977.

Also, Silent Running is an interesting Sci-Fi film but I feel that it's dated in a bad way and doesn't hold up as well as the movie that inspired it.. "2001 A Space Odyssey" (1968)...

All the other films are top notch IMHO even if they may be badly dated to other people. Like Logan's Run is a film I quite enjoy myself.

I like how the film "Electric Dreams" by Steve Barron (who later made the first Ninja Turtles movie) had a random scene of Virginia Madsen playing Space Invaders in a 7-Eleven in 1984! 💜🕹️👍🏻
