The Kama Arcade

The new cabinet arrived early today so I spent all afternoon building it. The machines are starting to look numerous in the Kama Arcade! 💜🕹️😁👍🏻

Added these joystick accessories from Paradise Arcade Shop to the joystick here..

Skelly wanted to check out Killer Instinct when it noticed Spinal on the side art of the cabinet... 😂💀💜🕹️

The graphics were so good it fooled me into thinking they could somehow pull off making a 1:1 port of Killer Instinct to that system.

I was disappointed that it didn't turn out to be the case and KI was still scaled down quite a bit but the gameplay was still spot on and I got good practice playing it with an arcade joystick!

Killer Instinct's 30th Anniversary of its arcade release is today!!

It was a total surprise when it showed up in my local arcade and it was just as big a sensation for us as Mortal Kombat at the time.

In the long run it didn't completely replace MK but I virtually love playing it just as much and it has aspects that I do think are better!

I remember the new toy syndrome other arcade gamers at the time where they only wanted to play KI and looked down at MKII and I could understand why but I didn't completely share that feeling. I never stopped loving the MK games! Even when my focus was KI!

I've added the Nintendo 64 era logos to the side panels of my KI cabinet's control panel! 💜😁🕹️👍🏻

Looked too blank and incomplete without them IMHO

The most challenging thing about applying these is deciding upon the alignment

But I tried to make sure they are more or less symmetrical

Filled up my Eyedol's combo high scores local list with over 80-hit combos.. I'm still third place on the online leaderboards

My Girlfriend thoughtfully ordered me this side-art my KI Pro was missing tonight! It's going to go great with my new marquee and monitor bezel!!

Oh my, I've really outdone myself tonight. Basically I did Eyedol's infinite combo on my KI Pro cabinet until time ran out.. well over 80-hits (KI stops counting at 80 but still gives you points) and I've moved up to 3rd place on the online leaderboards!

A notable thing is that I used the Suzo Happ Ultimate joysticks that some people say are rubbish and that everyone should just replace with Industrius Lorenzo Eurosticks.. if that was true I wouldn't be able to do this.. especially if it worked as bad as it apparently did for some people where they couldn't even do basic special moves with it!

It is my GOAL to do 80+ hits with Eyedol... I only got 53 at the most tonight because my arms were tiring out.. I WILL accomplish it though!

I did it! 80+ hits with Eyedol.. IDK how many I accomplish because it stops counting at 80 but I think I did about 85-90 hits! 💜🕹️😁👍🏻

I didn't seem to climb up the leaderboards with the amount I did though compared to 75-hits... 🤔

I'm now filling up Eyedol's high score section in my local high scores list in my Killer Instinct cabinet now that I've been practicing every day! 💜🕹️👍🏻😁

I never really attempted to do Eyedol's infinite (the combo system is capped at 80-hits).. So I don't have a lot of practice but I'm practicing now and I'm starting to get the hang of it.

The only problem is committing to the highly repetitive input required to do it! 😝
