Buck is in bed, checking his text thread with Tommy for the 100th time, when he accidentally drops his phone on his face but as it slipped out his hand and he tried to catch it, he accidentally texted Tommy this

Sarah saw this first, but since we’re sharing bucktommy mpreg thoughts, here’s an angsty one:

Pregnant Tommy who raises their daughter alone for the first few years. He was gonna tell Evan when he first found out, but when he finally mustered up the courage and went over to his place, he saw him with someone else, so he decides to walk away. He can do this alone, like he has all his life. When she’s 4/5, she gets diagnosed with juvenile leukemia and now, Tommy’s forced to reach out to Evan because he could save her, and he has to tell him about a daughter he didn’t even know existed. Evan’s furious with Tommy at first, but loves their daughter instantly. Over tests and hospital visits, they reconnect, they relearn each other, Evan gets to know their daughter and they feel like a family. He does end up saving her and they both decide to stay and make it this time.

I mean this sincerely: this is looking more and more like a third act breakup. Buck and Tommy both want to reach out, they both want a future, they both want this, but it’s going to take something big for them to finally reach out and grab it.

So basically that Helicopter might have to go down.

i'd have to watch the episode again but i honestly feel more hopeful about bucktommy this week than i did last week. like.

  • buck stress baking
  • the fact that we get to see him grieve this relationship at all feels significant
  • tommy "bubbling" him
  • the fact that we saw it happen and it wasn't just dialogue
  • "maybe i should call him. what if he's in trouble and needs help?" (paraphrasing)
  • maddie and chimney telling buck the universe will bring him someone special and then clarifying they meant someone who cares about him (his niece) and not another love interest

like, call me crazy but i kinda don't think we've seen the last of tommy kinard fr. i'm prepared to be disappointed if i'm wrong but

#yeah like I have no faith but there’s hope 😭

and while you’re at it have maddie answer tommy’s distress call where tommy is like “tell…tell evan…tell evan i…” and then there’s a big explosion and the line goes dead <3
