It’s actually very simple: all cartoon characters have Schrödinger’s junk. They exist in a quantum superposition of smooth like a Barbie doll and hung like a horse, and when you collapse the waveform it resolves to whichever option makes the joke land.

I hate how acknowledging unfairness in the world is seen as "childish". Maybe children are right. I don't think you should be proud of the fact that you've become complacent with the state of your miserable existence and took on this loser "it is what it is" mentality. Things can be better.

This is literally why stories and fantasy are so useful to humans. We cannot tackle every mundane challenge with enthusiasm, and facing against profoundly daunting tasks can be deeply demoralizing, and you don’t get to feel cool or heroic for filing 400 pieces of paperwork.

We arm ourselves with stories and fantasy, so that the laundry can become a charming hurdle to overcome, and the daunting stack of bills is the leviathan we the brave knights must slay.

Humans have always been like this. So many cultures have stories or mythology or even rituals about literally embodying another being better suited to the challenge one currently faces.

Stories are armor. Stories are fuel.

did you guys know in like 2013-16 popular youtubers would do challenges and dares to look through their tumblr tag because the site was so well known for shipping literally anything ever ? like that was the primary tumblr reputation for almost a decade ? "i don't like that they ship on tumblr" you don't have to use this website. youre getting mad there's soup at the soup store. maybe you should leave the soup store.
