Renovations in Shizuoka |  Shuhei Goto Architects

A minimal renovation located in Shizuoka, Japan, designed by Shuhei Goto Architects. The project was to rehabilitate an old steel-framed office and apartment building as a single-family house. The home is characterized by a series of triangle truss steel beams that circulate throughout the interior, providing both functional and aesthetic elements to the residence. The main living area features double-height ceilings, with glazings placed slightly higher to protect the privacy of the residents.

Airbnb HQ | Heneghan Peng Architects

Airbnb has revealed its new headquarters in Dublin, which mark the first time the company has been able to determine the architectural layout of one of its offices.

The new headquarters, dubbed The Warehouse, was designed by the company's in-house environments team in collaboration with Dublin-based practice Heneghan Peng Architects.

Set inside a disused warehouse, the new headquarters have been completely designed from scratch – a first for Airbnb – and will become a blueprint for other campuses across the world.

Warehouse Conversion | Paper House Projects

Paper House Project founder James Davies was tasked with adding an extra bedroom to the former garment warehouse in Bethnal Green, which was converted into an open-plan live-work space almost a decade ago. The architects wanted to retain as much of the open-plan layout of the property on Florida Street as possible, while redefining areas of its plan to create specific dining and lounging spaces.

Sadie Snelson Architects has transformed an east London warehouse into a live-work space for a photographer, featuring a folded steel staircase, a mezzanine and wall-mounted storage for bicycles. Prior to the renovation, the Clapton Warehouse was divided into small separate rooms that were subject to little natural daylight. The team removed all dividing walls to create an open-plan living room, and parts of the floor were taken away to create double-height areas that maximise light.

Aquaporin | Norm Architects

Aquaporin is a minimal space located in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, designed byNorm Architects. Norm’s philosophy is to find the simplest form for a given task without forgetting the beauty of the shape and the details, and to reach a point where there is nothing to add and nothing to take away that can make the result better. Their latest project is a collaboration with Aquaporin, a global cleantech company dedicated to revolutionizing water purification through the use of industrial biotechnological techniques and thinking. The interior reflects this transition of old-to-new by incorporating both clean and rough aesthetics within the space.The contrasting elements bring out details that would have otherwise been missed. This laboratory space is all about voids and purity – vast areas contrasted by grand and minimalistic structures which revive this old warehouse. A wide, black staircase creates access between the levels while also creating an area to lounge.

Alphabet of Lights | Artemide + BIG

A light system of curved and linear lights that can be assembled to make up different shapes. In this case Artemide and BIG have formed them into the alphabet and varying sentences. For Milan Design Week these were set in open industrial spaces.

Old Agricultural Warehouse | Liquenlav

Liqeunlav have converted this agricultural warehouse into a minimal space for a community. There are modular rooms so that the space can be used for multiple purposes. When the timber partitions are brought out it reveals a large kitchen.

Caseyfierro took 5 years to build this series of warehouse studio in South London. Each space has a different atmosphere that works for exhibitions or temporary spaces.
