Hey Ya butts!! Lets Be Fernds!!

Ok… i love star trek lower decks. Like the 4 main cast are such good found family vibes. But beyond them. All the regular character on the show are so cool.

Take Ransom.

At first glance he seemed like he was going to be just a bully. A blow hard with a superiority complex who wouldnt give 2 shits about lower deckers

But he isnt. He cares hes empathetic and hes a good officer. Because of course he is. Hes a second in command of a star ship. Its not a job for a bully.

I love that the writers made him more complex. And hes not the only character they did that with. Shaxs is the same. He was going to be just and angry muscle bound security officer. But hes so much more complex. Hes kind and traumatized and caring. He has the bear pack!

This show is just so good. I wholly recommend it. To me its the most Star Trek of the Star Treks

I swear to God! I've watched this episode maybe 10 times and I never noticed this stupid joke before. A+.

I just had a really weird dream and I wanted to write it out before I fell back asleep. For context i watched a bunch of TNG and drank like 2 litres of water right before bed.

Then i woke up and i really had to pee.

My entire life is knowing how people are going to react to things, aggressively stressing about that reaction and killing myself trying to avoid it, then it happens anyway.

Then i remember that picard quote about meeting your destiny on the road you take to avoid it. Cry. Sleep for a day. And start over again.

Its called self care.

Star Trek Lower Decks is the most ‘Star Trek’ of any of the ‘star treks’ and it’s fucking amazing.
