Satellite Hermits AU | First meeting with Zedaph
Zedaph is a planetologist, a nomadic mystery of Minecrea. He doesn't operate stations much, doesn't build infrastructure or anything — his job is pure research (nobody understands what he's doing, though). He often moves from base to base due to this and the rest of the hermits are kinda used to his sudden visits and odd requests.
Skizz meets him on his first day on the planet, at the Central base, when Zed rushes to send in a report and leaves unsuspecting Skizz to look after radiation hazard. Needless to say, both are immediately charmed by eachother.
When Skizz's adventures on Minecrea begin, Zedaph is busy moving his main lab from the nearby valley to Mt. Gate-2. This later turned out to be a fatal decision, that kick-started a chain of crucial events.

Every year I say I hate winter: it's dark, long, cold and so inconvenient where I live. All the mess on the roads and so much snow shoveling to do...
But then the first snow falls, and suddenly is so peaceful, so tranquil and quiet. It feels like I'm a small kid again. And I stand mesmerized watching it and think, "oh, buddy, I'm so sorry. I don't hate you at all, please come".
Fighting stress like a five-year old. Autumnal leaves are so pretty :]

Was going through my files and found this thingy from two years ago. I still think it's quite cute :]
In the hallway of Sheriff-2, about twenty minutes after the landing, Skizz is shakily making his way from his cabin back to the main deck, bag on each shoulder. He looks like he was fighting for his life just minutes ago, tired and pale. He really doesn't like having to deal with zero-gravity.
Norman, on the other hand, looks completely unbothered by the mayhem they've been through for the past hour.
From the command room, Jimmy's guiltily smiling face pokes out into the corridor.
JIMMY: There he isss! Look at that confident walk! What a champ. And all packed up already?
SKIZZ: Dude, at this point I'm ready to make a run for it. I swear, if I'll not see land in the next ten minutes...

Umm where do I begin with this..?? :'D
Basically, hermits work at stations in diffirent parts of a new planet and colonize&study it bit by bit. Occasionally they see each others bots and buildings from afar or meet to hang out/work on projects together, but most of the time everyone interacts 'online', using communicators. As a result, some of the hermits have never officially met each other in person (because they were arriving gradually, not all together), but became good pals non the less.

On board of spacecraft Sheriff-2, the mood is shifted slightly from what it used to be like for the last couple of weeks. They are approaching their final destination. Jimmy looks at the man tenderly combing his honorary co-pilot's fur and thinks to himself what a shame this is: he had never had a passenger as pleasant and entertaining as Skizz.
JIMMY: Are you sure you want to go there, Skizz? Norman and I can take you to Leonida or Pandora or something...
SKIZZ: Of course I want to go there, man! It's my first job away from the Solar system! And my buddy is waiting for me.

In particular, I love this interior a lot. The carpets blew my mind away... I couldn't find original references for this doodle, but I think you can guess what's depicted — bedroom in his big boi base
I love the monolyth, I love the tree of whimsy, I love his parkour course (oh that thing was stunning), shops, his end-game base... It's all so magical, so detailed and cinematic 🤌
