Sorry this isn't an ask! I just wanted to say that your art style is super comfy and really nice to look at! It's the sorta thing that if you were feeling a little under the weather just scrolling through would make you feel a bit better!!
Ohh my gosh, thank you so much!! This is such a nice thing to say and has made me a bit emotional ;u;
I got my physical copy of the little nightmares zine today! Always loved seeing your art around so my brain was firing off happy sparks when I saw your piece in the zine!
Yay!!! I'm so glad you got your zine! All the artists, writers, and mods worked so hard to make it awesome :D
And thank you very much ;u; That piece was a lot of fun to work on, so I'm happy you liked it!!
Hey, I really liked this post: https://frogparty.tumblr.com/post/665903478665887744/sylphee-sorrow-and-fear-are-easily-forgotten, could i use the picture as a profile photo? It's very gender for me.
Sure! You can use it as a profile pic c: (I would appreciate it if you credit me though ;u;)
You really draw the cutest art for some of the most depressing stories (first little nightmares and now nier. What else??) and I wanted to say thank you! (But also, ouch because it almost makes it hurt more)
Well, I’ve got to cope somehow haha!!
Thank you for the compliment!! I’m glad you like my art ^u^
I'm going through a really rough patch mental health wise and your latest mono picture really touched me. These days it feels like the scars of depression are there on your face everyday and the best we can do is just try and keep on living...SO THANKS, your art gave me a feel and I needed the boost ;u;
ohhh, anon ;o;
yeah, depression is... a really heavy, lingering presence, and I’m glad my art was able to help you out, even just a little! Thank you as well for these nice words, and I’m wishing you all the best ;u;
Hi, you've read the Moomins books, right? Tell me honestly, how much Sad™ is in them? Like I know there's some melancholy but how much? I want to read them (because I love these funky little marshmallows and friends) but honestly I'm weak against heartbreaking content in books so I want to know if I need to brace myself beforehand. I've also heard there's a bittersweet ending to the book series? Is that true? I'm sorry for all these weird questions. Thanks for reading my ask!
(I apologize for the late reply!!)
It’s really only the last two books that take on the really melancholy feeling (like, there’s aspects of sorrow and bitter-sweetness in the other books, but it really kicks up for the last two)
The plot of ‘Moominpappa at Sea’ is that Moominpappa is tired of the everyday life he’s living and moves his family onto a remote island with an abandoned lighthouse. There’s themes of dissatisfaction, of isolation, of forgetting, but also of accepting change.
‘Moominvalley in November’ centers on a group of characters waiting for the Moomins to come home and has themes of loneliness and wishful thinking, but also of companionship and realizing you shouldn’t place someone on a pedestal. (It left my heart feeling achy for a while, and if I think about it too much I still get the ‘hgggkgg’ feeling, but it’s very good!)
I really love these books and the characters are incredibly charming; there’s ups and downs and by the end you get something very quietly beautiful. But yes, it is bittersweet. I would still highly recommend them though ;u;
your moomin comic seems like it's out of order? (it is very cute though!)
asfhggfcbfdhh yeah!!! I noticed that and have fixed it! (And thank you for the compliment!!)
I had originally posted it through my phone and it was in the correct order there, but when I looked at it on my laptop, the first and second parts were switched???? So it's fixed now c:
Thank you for letting me know, though!! Here's a Snufkin :D
