Michael, I murdered Janet. I knew about Eleanor from the beginning. I’ve been trying to help her become a better person, and when she found out that your retirement meant that you would be tortured, she immediately tried to find a way to prevent it. Which is why I ended up murdering Janet.

This is such a hugely significant moment for Chidi’s character. This is the person who agonized for years over whether to tell a friend he didn’t like his boots, confronting a man he believes to be essentially an angel in order to stand up for Eleanor. It’s AMAZING.
