Now, when you’ve got one of the best Stormtroopers turned Resistance hero going up against a fallen Jedi turned Supreme Leader of the First Order, you know you’re in for one hell of a narrative ride.

In this article we lay out the narrative foil journey of the Sequel Trilgoy’s co-protagonist Finn and the central antagonist Kylo Ren. From their tension filled game of cat and mouse in TFA, to their thematic parallels in TLJ, and the hopeful rematch coming in Episode IX with the return of JJ Abrams! Thank you John and Adam, may the force be with you, and remember that this is only the beginning!

Remember that Princess Comment?

And it turns out Adam was talking about the princess in the Hidden Fortress, not Rey:

Driver is on a roll now, discussing what excites him: character and narrative and cinematic influences. The original Star Wars was an homage to Akira Kurosawa’s 1958 film The Hidden Fortress, he says, and the link lives on in the new trilogy, in which concealed identities drive the narrative. Then he lets it slip. “You have, also, the hidden identity of this princess who’s hiding who she really is so she can survive and Kylo Ren and her hiding behind these artifices,” Driver says, apparently dropping a massive revelation about Rey’s royal origins.

TLDR: The interviewer is an ass.

I was reading ‘Did Adam Driver let secrets on Rey slip for The Last Jedi?’ on Dork Side for iOS and I thought you might be interested in reading it too.

I strongly doubt he meant it in a literal sense. In any case, the Skywalkers are essentially Force royalty which would make Rey akin to a princess.
