Made this announcement in the server, so im going to put it on the blog as well.
A few people seem to be a bit confused about how pairing will work for the event, so let me elaborate on that real quick (and how the event is going to go in general):
There are 6 parts of the Star Wars fandom that are part of this event: High/Old Republic, the Prequel trilogy, The Clone Wars/The Bad Batch, Rebels, Andor/Rogue One, and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor. Authors will pick which one of these parts they would like to write their fic for, and come up with a summary and submit it to the mods by June 4th. If you are unable to submit a summary by this time, please try to contact us mods a few days in advance so we can help you.
Once the authors have submitted their summaries, they will be assigned a group number. Each section will have its own lettering system. These will be as follows:
- High/Old Republic: HR
- Prequels: P
- Clone Wars/Bad Batch: CW
- Rebels: R
- Andor/Rogue One: A
- Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor: J
Each letter will be paired with a number. These are given on a first come first serve basis, ex. if you’re the first person to submit a fic for the Rebels section, your fic (and group) will be labeled R1.
The week following summary submissions, us mods will go through and organize the summaries and assign group labels to them.
The summaries will then be put on a google doc (without the author’s name so there are no biases, but we will keep track of who’s fic is who’s) and then the betas and artists will get to choose who they would like to work with.
Once again, pairings will be on a first come first serve basis. Currently, we have a few more authors than artists, so some artists may have to do multiple projects. These will only be if the artist is willing, so no one will be unwillingly put in multiple groups.
TL;DR: pairings will work based on what the fic is about/what group it is in! authors will submit their summaries by june 4th, then artists and betas will choose, and then everyone will be paired off.
The rest of the tl;dr was addressing a server misunderstanding, so this isn’t verbatim what was announced in there, but it’s close enough
