It’s easy to feel hopeless at a time like this, even if, like me, you’re not American, but even though there will be dark times ahead for us all, we must remember to always hold on to our hope.
When we come together to achieve a common goal we can achieve anything, we really can.
Regardless of how many people try to hurt us, we must hold on to hope that it will get better, because it will get better.
In the words of Charlie Chaplin “Do not despair, the misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress, the hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people, and so long as men die, liberty will never perish.”
They can never take your place in the world from you, they can never take your freedom, they can never take your identity, you are alive, that is the greatest gift of all.
The fight must continue, and we will win.
I love you
“Optimism is true moral courage, difficulties are just things to overcome.”
