I’ve had this blog for like 6(?) months and I haven’t done an intro so let’s change that

I am Dan Reynolds Parker. My pronouns are he/him and maybe they/them.

✨This blog is solely dedicated to Starkid and affiliated groups✨

I want to mention that because I know when scrolling though blogs, some people take notice of blogs not posting/reblogging important things, especially in todays sociopolitical environment. Rest assured, I spread information on other blogs and social media platforms. I believe in keeping my interests isolated from heavy-hitting stuff to avoid creating negative connections between the two.

I’m AuDHD and transmasc. Currently Starkid (mostly Hatchetfield, but I appreciate all SK content) is my special interest and hyperfixation.

I have a tendency to abandon blogs if I move on from an interest, but Starkid seems to be sticking around. And if my blog gets abandoned, I might come back to it if the interest is sparked again.

Some things:

  • If you are a hatchetfield rp blog, I will not be interacting with you as a character. This is not a DNI, but I have had some ~funky~ experiences with rp accounts (not sk related ones) in the past. You are more than welcome to comment/like/reblog, but if you run a blog dedicated to being cat-boy Paul* or something, I won’t be talking to you as cat-boy Paul (*no clue if there’s a real blog like this or not, I’m just pulling ideas out of my ass. Not intended to target)
  • Because I’m autistic, I have very rigid views of characters. I try to accept all takes on all characters, but it’s hard for me to change/allow changes to the view of a character I have in my head
  • I say the wrong thing sometimes. I think this is because of my neurodivergency, but sometimes I am trying to say something, and the words I use aren’t the words I mean to use, or I say something weirdly and it gets misinterpreted or something. Cut me a little sliver of slack, and let me attempt to correct myself. Or just kindly lmk if I say something out of pocket
  • I LOVE INTERRACTION ‼️ Don’t just reblog, add some funky tags. Add some insight. Comment on stuff. Engage with me!
  • I’m not going to tell you DNI, but I’m strongly against Michie and I’m very vocal about it, so if that upsets you, do what’s best for you

A few personal CC HCs (and a few thoughts) now that more people have seen it

- HC that Ella and Tadius explore being romantic with each other. Their dynamic works pretty well, but they decide it isn’t for them (I hc Ella as demiromantic heterosexual and Tadius as a disaster bi)

-HC that Ella weaves Starlight into her hair so it’s always with her so the magic is always working

-HC that Rancilda finds a nice bridge and resides there. Some people actually enjoy her riddles

-Justine and Lucy’s comment about their “bastard brother who hunts trolls” was very specific. I wonder if that’s lore to be expanded on in a different Castle story

-I’m so sorry Jeff but I think it’s time to retire your higher register

-I can’t wait until the YT version comes out when they mix the audio with the soundtrack so it’s cleaner. The vocals live were amazing. The harmonies in Facade didn’t come through as well in the digital ticket for example

I’ve been on a SAF kick for the past few months so I’ve been out of the loop on so many things.

I just learned Campfire Confession is a ship. I hc Karen and Jeri as sisters lmao.

Now I high key feel weird about hc them as sisters if more ppl see it as a ship. It’s not weird is it? Bc it’s one of my favorite hatchetfield headcannons

Hi, I'm actually the creator of the Campfire Confession ship.

It's completely fine if you don't like the ship or agree with it. A common occurrence of fandom is that you're bound to run into ships you don't subscribe to, or people whose opinions don't match your own. That's just how life works.

Campfire Confession is pretty small in comparison to some other ships for the Hatchetfield fandom, but it's one I like exploring because of my specific ideas for Karen and Jeri. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone else's ideas, and you don't have to feel weird about having a headcanon that doesn't align. The blocklist feature exists for a reason, if you find you don't want to see that sort of content. I personally wouldn't be offended, to be frank. I've been in various fandoms for a very long time, and that's just how the cookie crumbles, so to speak.

If I may make a suggestion: if you want to say anything that speaks negatively or criticizes a ship, please don't tag the ship name. It's been longstanding fandom tumblr étiquette to not tag criticism or negative posts about a ship with the main ship's tag. You could make an #anti [ship] tag if you really wanted that. Again, I wouldn't be offended. My skin's pretty thick.

I’m still pretty new to tumblr (less than a year of really being active) so I’m still figuring out the etiquette here lol

I also didn’t mean to imply that I’m against it as a ship. I meant to include a blurb that specifically said “to be clear I’m not against people shipping it” or whatever, I just posted that when I was tired and I tend to forget things when I get tired (going back to change the post and the tags now)

My post was more “is it wrong that I hc them as sisters instead of shipping them” (I get very paranoid about how people perceive my opinions online after being in some pretty polarized fandoms (spn)) and less “I don’t ship them” but again, I was tired and didn’t communicate that well, my bad

All this is /lh, please keep shipping what you want to ship!! I don’t want to be a party pooper
