I wouldn't...😆 But in a scenario like that, Lelouch would be capable of hilarious plots to deter Light's advances and they would all work. 🤣 Although, tbh, I don't see Light as the type of person to actually genuinely love someone. 😁

Although for some reason I couldn't help but imagine a scenario where Light learns about C.C.'s immortality and actually falls in love with her (or at least as close as someone like Light can get to falling in love) and wanting the two of them to be an immortal couple who rule as the gods of the new world, but C.C. just finds him pathetic and disgusting (or maybe I just want Light to go through what he put Misa through😜).

Writing Of Gods and Kings with this magnificent OST playing in the background just makes me want to throw the plot and write Lelouch as a magnificent bastard fucking everything up while Light Yagami has a mental breakdown in the background. 🤣
The next chapter of Of Gods and Kings will be delayed again... Because would it come as a surprise if I told you that I got sidetracked with the Lelouch vs Light chess match happening (an estimated) 5-10 chapters away? 😩🤪
Chapter 6: A Delicate Balance
The stranger claimed the chair opposite Lelouch. He climbed onto his seat and dropped into a crouch, with his knees drawn up to his chin, and the thumb of his right hand at the corner of his mouth.
What the hell?
Up close, Lelouch could finally see his face clearer and he silently noted the dark bags that framed the other man’s pitch dark irises. Wide black eyes set against ashen skin.
And because no one was making a move to start, Lelouch hastily drew himself back into the moment with a harsh mental slap. He needed to get a hold of himself.
“White takes the first move.”
The stranger looked up from staring at the chessboard and mumbled his response around half a mouthful of thumb. “Oh… Right. I knew that.”
I love that you spent practically a whole chapter on the L v Lelouch chess game 😂 masterfully done

He would gather as much information as he could on Light.
It wasn’t that difficult… A simple search on the internet brought up two of Light Yagami’s incredibly outdated social media profiles (which suggested a disinterest in social networking sites), the boy’s name on last year’s article about Japan’s top ranked students, Light’s achievements in tennis, and… a news article headline from an educational institution that Lelouch knew all too well.
