You know, something cute about C.C. that I almost never think about is how surprisingly small she is, I remember the first time I watched Code Geass I thought thanks to her personality that C.C. must be similar in height to Lelouch and that she was taller than Shirley and Kallen, only to later learn that not only is she shorter than the two of them, but she's closer to Nunnally's height than Lelouch.
Yesss~ C.C. is petite! 😍 And it's really easy to forget, because she often wears footwear with heels. Case in point: her white boots. And without those white boots, she's smol! 😆😍

Light thinks Ryuk is annoying... Wait 'till C.C. starts shadowing him and pestering him in class. He's going to begrudgingly find her kind of entertaining though...

I have a headcanon for this that I have never ever been able to turn into anything more than the worst initial doodles:
100 years post Resurrection movie, LL is working for the collective unconsciousness. He and CC have finally finished hunting down all the people with Geass fragments (partly because all the people they didn’t find just died of old age) when the Collective Unconsciousness needs help!
In another dimension, people are dying but their souls aren’t returning to the Collective Unconsciousness and it’s causing an imbalance the Code Bearers must solve.
When a Shinigami uses a Death Note, they extend their own life. If they die, their soul returns to the collective unconsciousness: all soul-matter rejoins the greater whole. When a human uses a Death Note they don’t absorb other people’s souls: soul matter is lost to the material world. In normal circumstances this is hardly noticeable but because Light is on a mass murder spree it’s become a big problem.
Cue LL and CC bamfing into Death Note’s Japan just as the Lind L Taylor speech is playing on the TV. At first, LL is all confident that he can solve both their identities before either can find each other, but he quickly realises he’s at a giant disadvantage because of the massive culture difference: in his Japan, the person who fits Light’s psychological profile is a Britannian son of nobility. He’ll need to discover who L is and team up with him to take advantage of his local knowledge.
Featuring:
- L getting really disturbed by the CCTV footage of these two young foreigners strolling into the NPA and just being allowed to look through all the evidence
- CC practically sobbing with joy as she stuffs her face at Pizza Hut; some of the preservatives got banned in their reality in the 2060’s for being carcinogens and pizza hasn’t tasted the same since.
- LL giving some overly dramatic proof of his immortality in L’s suite and Watari having to clean the brains out of the carpet afterwards
- LL getting a mediocre score on the entrance exam because face it, boy never studies and he knows nothing about Japanese history or expectations in this reality. He still gets in to To-Oh because of his eye powers, but he’s not on stage.
- Ryuk shitting himself because these people have a ♾ or a Code symbol for a lifespan, who are they?
- Light losing at chess and having an internal freakout over how such an average person can be so good. L losing at chess and accusing L.L of using his Geass to cheat. L.L smug that his special genius skill is still his own.
- The entire adventure being cut short by C.C just shooting Light because she’s got an assignment and L.L has gotten distracted by these three-way mind games. He and L sulk for weeks.
- A dramatic reveal that the Shinigami king is a Code Bearer and the Death Notes are a particular form of Geass not bound to a person’s body he’s able to create at will.

It doesn't have to be uber serious and ultra mind-game-y. It can be cracky and funny and I'll still read the effing brains out of this. 🥺

I am happy to oblige. 😎😁 But no promises on quality because this one is nothing more than doodles and what-ifs and headcanons. And also because I believe this will sadly stay on the drawing board. (😭 Fingers crossed that it's otherwise).
It's basically just the plot of Code Geass with Death Note in it. But the canon world has to go through extensive worldbuilding so it adheres to both the rules set in Code Geass and especially Death Note.
One instance is the the royal family in Britannia never releasing their full names or "real names" to the public for security measures. This rule took effect during the Century of Blood in Britannia's history to try and prevent assassinations in the royal family. Didn't really work out that well.
L works for the Britannian government (although he's obviously not a very strict rule follower. He's pretty passive about nobility and its status. Very much like Lloyd Asplund).
Light Yagami is a Japanese/Honorary Britannian student at Ashford Academy, still just as upset with the world and desiring to change it (even moreso because Britannia is a racist and machine), and is hellbent on doing it after he finds the Death Note and meets Ryuk.
Lelouch is still pretty much Lelouch. Same motivations. Wants revenge against his father, seeks to destroy the Britannian Empire, eventually leads a double life as Zero and leads a rebellion against the Empire.
Ryuk and C.C. were supposed to have this weird "connection" where they are actually aware of each other's presence and each other's power, but they do their best to hide from one another. They both withhold bits of info from their "contractors", such as C.C.'s awareness of the existence of Shinigami and a notebook of death, and Ryuk's knowledge about the power known as Geass.
Ryuk acts the same way he does in canon. He's just here for the fun and is not that interested in meddling with Light's affairs, other than to watch what he does with the Death Note and how he's going to deal with Zero.
On the other hand, C.C. is actively helping Lelouch in his rebellion and figuring out this sinister serial killer known as Kira.

I really love this sp much! Imagine:
- C.C is immune to the Death Note because she has the Code and no death sticks. This is why she knows about the death note and the shinigami - both are mutually intriguing to the other
- Until! She loses her memory in season 2. Just as she got that cut on her finger that didn’t heal, so she can be killed, fulfilling the wish she’s forgotten
- And now Lelouch has to try protect her from Light in his lowest moment of time
- Light or L ally himself with Nunnally when she becomes Viceroy, in a power play against Zero. The Million Zero trick catches them off guard too because it’s so… silly. They’re always underestimating just how weird Lelouch’s plans can be.
- Will any of the death note lads get a Knightmare??

More fanfic thoughts:
- I think either L or Light could be in a knightmare at some point. What's weird is I can't imagine either of them being in one. (Because both worlds in the anime are so different. Death Note is way too rooted into our reality).
- Lloyd and L each think that the other is weird. Fair points.
- L's Kira investigation team is comprised of Britannians and Japanese.
- Light would definitely try to kill people who are close to Lelouch once their identities are exposed. (And since I imagine this takes place around the Zero Requiem arc, Lelouch only keeps a handful of confidants. Again, lots of worldbuilding would have to be done from the beginning to accommodate the rules of both shows. 😩)
- And in this world, I headcanon that Light kills Shirley, pushing Lelouch over the edge. All the more reason for Lelouch to keep people close or push them away for their own safety.
- Light thinks Lelouch is stupid for caring about other people.
- Lelouch has to touch the Death Note at some point and gets to see Ryuk. C.C. is with him. She always knew of Ryuk's presence, but she never actually got to see him until that moment. (Don't know when this happens either, but if this turns into a fanfic, I want this scene in there xD)
- Lelouch goes nuts when he discovers Nunnally is being manipulated by Light. (Don't know where this will fit but I want it to happen xD)
- Would be intriguing to see Lelouch push Suzaku and Kallen away so they appear useless to him and can't be used as leverage by Kira.
- At the very end, post-epilogue... L is the overall winner because he's still alive, but L considers it a loss all the same; because Lelouch and Light died before they could be properly brought to justice. As in, they weren't incarcerated for the crimes they've committed. XD Light was a homicidal murderer and Lelouch was literally a war criminal and technically a terrorist.
- Lelouch still dies for the Zero Requiem. Light is killed by Ryuk.

- Protect his school friends by suddenly leaving the student council? And Shirley of course, being Shirley, just wouldn’t give up.
- Milly would step back, I think, if Lelouch intimated that it had something to do with his royal status. She could probably convince Rivalz and Nina to back off, but Kallen would get curious about why Lelouch would suddenly be so anti-social
- Protect Nunnally by… publicly turning on her? Or perhaps by hoping that Light, with his own little sister, wouldn’t go that far? Then again if they’re using pseudonyms, Nunnally Lamperouge should be safe with her fake name
- C.C would become even more important to Lelouch, as the only one who can’t die. Will he ever actually realise he’s got feelings for her? No, I think he’ll still die a virgin. Because of course he needs to die for his sins
- I think Light could win Nunnally’s friendship in season 2 in the beginning of the season, when Nunnally believed that Lelouch lost all his memories. Light could bring her stories of what Lelouch is up to at school, promise to pass messages on. It’s all lies of course, making up stories that’ll make Nunnally trust him more.
- V.V enters the fray as another agent of chaos. He’d be going after Kira as well as Zero, I think, as his biggest interest is protecting the throne no matter what Charles’ children or these terrorists think. Will he reveal himself to L? I can imagine L investigated that Geass order at some point for his own curiosity
- Would L become one of the people recruited to help with the Zero Requiem? Or would he have joined Cornelia/Schneizal/Nunnally’s side?
Fascinating scenarios and questions to ask... Another scenario I'd like to put forward in this lovely thread 🥰 I'd love to write this one, one of these days. 😁 If only because of the shenanigans it could spawn.
90 years after the events of Lelouch of the Re;surrection...
- Ryuk drops the Death Note in the world of Code Geass. Same cat and mouse chase of Light vs L... But this time, Lelouch and C.C. are dropped into the mix. 🤩
- Lelouch and C.C. are convinced that Kira has a Geass.
- Lelouch and C.C. end up working with L and the Kira Investigation Team.
- Lelouch wants to meet Kira face-to-face -- confident that he can get Kira to kill himself and end the problem.
- L & C.C. annoy Lelouch because pizza is everywhere and so is candy and sweets. Watari happily cleans up their mess.
- But L and Lelouch get along because Lelouch is the only person who matches L's wits, but also has no problem getting his hands dirty to draw Kira out. Both of them are pretty 'The ends justify the means' type of guys. 😌
The rest of the plot? I'll work it out xD

I have a strange unpublished CLuCLu fanfic where Lelouch is a beauty guru and he's dating C.C... There was no plot to it... It was basically just Lelouch having fun because he uses C.C.'s face as canvas for the makeup looks he creates.

At the end of the date, they were going to kill each other, but they both find out each other's intentions, and they laugh about it.
