I was a member of this choir of over 27,000 singers from all over the world!

Little Girl
By Bonnie Anne Pinard © November 30, 2019
Dear Lord, remember me? I'm the little girl who believed in Santa until she was 12. I'm the little girl who found you (or whom you found) when I was 19. I'm the little girl who searched the night sky every Christmas Eve for the Star of Bethlehem. I'm the little girl who after everyone else had gone to bed, lay on the floor listening to sacred Christmas music with tears in my eyes and a sense of the deepest longing and the widest enfolding love.
Does everything have to be explained? Does everything have to be understood by the human mind? Can't some things remain a beautiful yearning mystery? Because I can't logically explain half the things that have happened to me throughout my life.
The only thing I know for sure, dear Lord---is that YOU were there. ALWAYS. Even when I didn't know who you were. Even when I was confused or sad. You were always there.
I am 64 years old now and life is so hard sometimes, but behind all the sorrow of growing older, losing my health and my loved ones---I am still that little girl who senses your nearness, who cries out to you and who loves you!
Please fill me with the joy that is birthed by YOUR spirit, and may I share that joy with my family and friends with an open heart.
