I'm having trouble with the scene where right after Rey and Kylo fight the guards Rey immediately tells Kylo to stop the firing on the Resistance.. something just rubs me the wrong way with how she immediately goes to something else meanwhile Kylo has to reconcile what he's just done.. idk it just felt like Rey was using Kylo in that instance. I know they are at war and Rey is still loyal to the Resistance but... Idk.. what are your thoughts because I think I need another perspective

the point is they’re both being idiots in that scene – just most people dismiss Rey’s stupidity because “good girl uwu”

they’re both being equally selfish, blind, and stupid, and yet they both have this intent to “save the galaxy” somehow through their naivety. they have the same goal, right? just the methods are entirely different.

anima/animus – one creates but can’t accomplish anything through pure hopes and dreams and rainbow unicorns, the other destroys and thinks he’ll create something new through the ashes of what he burns down.

they’ve both got a long way to go but they ultimately want the same thing – peace and change for the future

even if they’re stupidly naive in this moment

they’re still behaving like teens: (sorry teens) I want, I need, me me me. Becoming an adult and committing to a relationship, and maybe a family ^^, requires to give more than you might get. that’s love. 

selfishness must go, they have to learn to look beyond their own personal agendas.
