As a big thanks to everyone who enjoyed  my reylo fanarts I decided to redo the fix-it comic that I did a few weeks ago because the more I looked at it the less I liked it, so I challenged myself and redid the whole thing hahaha. I hope everyone likes the new ver.

I haven’t read it in its entirety but I’ve seen most the panels so here’s a summary:

  • Ben went on some mission with Luke and Lor San Tekka when he looks about 12/13ish (so he was with Luke longer than his own parents, to the point where it appears Luke basically raised him from the age of ~10)
  • at that time, Snoke was already full-on speaking to him inside his own mind, full-on conversations back and forth like an old friend Ben can never escape. it’s so fucking creepy.
  • Ben calls Luke master instead of uncle
  • they end up fighting the Knights of Ren and their leader gives Ben this weird mask thing which is like a walkie talkie if he ever wants to contact them
  • fast-forward to the night Luke almost kills Ben–Ben pulls his hut down and crawls out of the rubble and thinks he killed Luke
  • the temple appears to have been destroyed in some fiery explosion which isn’t fully explained and Ben says desperately “I didn’t want this” so it seems like he might have done that unconsciously/by accident
  • 3 other padawans come back, see the aftermath, think Luke is dead, and run into Ben not knowing what happened (these are kids have known Ben for like half his life)
  • he says he doesn’t want to fight them and asks them to get out of his way, they light their sabers and he doesn’t–everyone else is basically always the aggressor and Ben is always trying to de-escalate (a lot like with him and Rey)
  • he gets away and goes on the run but they chase after him, and only one of them keeps saying things like “this isn’t like Ben, we should call his mom, you guys don’t know what he’s had to deal with” etc., the other two are just full-on ready to hunt him down without the full story
  • at some point he uses his walkie talkie mask to contact the Knights of Ren
  • at another point he ends up on this weird jungle-greenhouse station thing with Snoke in a turban hugging him and talking to him like a friend and telling him things like he may have to leave Ben Solo behind
  • Kylo is a name he made up as a kid (so all of us who’ve joked that Ben is LARP-ing as his childhood OC is just like…straight up canon AND SO FUCKING SAD)
  • now in this preview for the next issue he goes to the Knights because he feels like he has nowhere else to go and the leader tells him the price to get in is “a good death” and Ben says he killed a Jedi (looking very broken up about it) and starts to tell them how those 3 padawans came after him trying to kill him

basically the entire thing thus far is AN EXERCISE IN MISERY and how Ben has been a victim of forces and manipulations outside his control his entire life and the farther into the story we go the more depressing it’s going to get, I hate everything
