Ceramist Dorothy Hafner has constructed a floor piece, titled "Chevron", below, that works as a porcelain carpet. Handpainted porcelain tiles are arranged with blank, white tiles in a seemingly random pattern that alternates between an electric design and pauses of visual calm.
