LiS in Details
Part 2
Dormitories
Interesting things hidden in the numbers of the dorm rooms.
Girls
original map nightmare map
• Max's room number is her birthday.
• Kate's is inverted 777.
• Rachel's is date of her missing.
• Stella's is definitely The Shining reference (which, however, is indicated directly in the game).
Boys
original map BtS map
• Nathan's room number is allegory at 666 (which is also obvious from the game).
• Warren's room number (in season 1) may be The X-Files reference on the 5x12 episode — it's also 109 episode — where Mulder and Scully catch a 16 year old vampire.
Other interesting things
• Max lives opposite Victoria, and Warren lives opposite Nathan, and both are really opposed to them in protagonist/antagonist way.
• Based on the map, Max's room is almost one and a half times smaller than Victoria's (while the boys' rooms are about the same size). But it's true: Victoria's room is actually wider than Max's (absolutely the same with Nathan's and Warren's rooms). /oh those rich kids/.
• There are fewer rooms for boys than for girls.
• If the dorm floors are really located above each other, then Max lives right above the boys' shower, lol.
and partially thoughts/theories/inconsistencies.
As you explore the game, some kind of inconsistencies appear in the layout of the dorms.
- So, for example, the number of windows outside the building does not correspond to the number of rooms inside.
Apparently, this appendix with roof tube is a wing of the boys' dorm, so both boys and girls have two residential floors.
- This is supported by the fact that Warren is peeping from the corner of this wing, and Wells is sitting on the steps in front of the entrance there.
- But this seems illogical, since, judging by the map of the girls' dorm, there are at least 4 rooms for girls in this appendix (although inside they are generally hidden behind a gray door).
When Zachary accidentally throws the ball at Alyssa and you warn her about it, then after that the ball will break someone's window.
- According to the map (in case the boys actually live under the girls), the ball apparently hit Logan's or Nathan's window (which would be ironic, because we couldn't see it because of the blinds on his windows). But if this floor belongs to the girls' wing, then... poor girl.
Weird things have to do with room owners because they vary quite a bit in Season 1 and BtS.
- According to the maps of the girls' dorm in the first game and in the nightmare (where we see the old owners of the rooms), it can be seen that the rooms are assigned to students and are vacated as they graduate/drop out... But with the boys' rooms, everything is completely different. Let's compare:
Before the Storm.
104 — Warren
105 — Eliot
106 — Justin
107 — Hayden
108 — Zachary (funny, he's Zachery in this one)
109 — Trevor
110 — Drew
111 — Armond
Season 1.
104 — Evan
105 — Trevor
106 — Daniel
107 — Zachary
108 — Hayden
109 — Warren
110 — Logan
111 — Nathan
- Absolutely all boys do not live in the rooms in which they lived earlier. And in the Season 1 Justin doesn't live in a dorm anymore (although it is possible to throw it off on some kind of offense with weed, but still...). And Evan in BtS, apparently, was not even moved into the room (or he is on another floor, if there are actually two floors in the boys' dorm).
- A moment of humor! The biggest question that bothers me: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED BETWEEN BTS AND THE FIRST SEASON, THAT SINCE NATHAN MOVED TO THE BOYS' DORM, THIS MAP GOT SO PAINTED?!
So I will still stick to the theory of different realities that are just somehow interconnected, because nothing and never (except for parallel universes) will be able to explain these various inconsistencies, scattered throughout absolutely ALL games in the series.
Reasoning and other stuff.
- It's kinda weird, but in the Nightmare scene — in the dorm sequence — we can go through room 224 (knowing that it once belonged to Rachel). But why the room was given to Taylor only now (I mean September-October 2013), given the fact that she has been studying at Blackwell for several years, is a little incomprehensible. So Taylor either badly needed a room for her final year of study, or she moved to room 224 from some other, or... in a Nightmare this section — just a parallel reality (because in Season 1 it was not mentioned IN PRINCIPLE that Rachel lives in a dorm, /without taking into account one of the possible endings of BtS/).
- In the same Nightmare scene, it is Frank Bowers' keys that open door 218, which is also weird, because there are no prerequisites for a connection between Frank and Dana Ward (room owner) in the game. /But in this situation, my other assumption may work, which looks more like a separate theory, so I will make a separate post on this topic/.
- According to the map of the first floor of the boys' dorm, after Logan's and Warren's rooms (110 & 109) there is one more room on each side, but in reality their rooms are the last in the corridor and after them there is a door to the stairs.

Well, this will end this part of LiS in Details, and I'll work on the next ones.
I would like to say that I would be glad if some individual parts regarding the structure of the dormitory were corrected in the Remaster — but I think that I want too much🤣
P.S. — As always, sorry for my sloppy English...
