Hunter, a half-elf paladin, has just aced his entrance exams to the Emperor’s Academy. Although his older brother is happy for him, there’s a deep bitterness in Philip’s eyes he can’t quite pinpoint the source to.

Philip tells him his father would be proud. Hunter hopes it’s true.

His uncle says nothing at all. Hunter hopes he’ll be valedictorian to finally, finally earn the man’s approval, since even this isn’t worth more than a single nod.

Normally my happy art doesn’t correspond to happy scenes but once in a blue moon it does happen.

Here’s the brothers of all time hanging out in the rain because they deserve much more happiness than I give them.

You could argue that the entire Human Realm arc is a tragedy but in my opinion the saddest part about giving up the “Philip joins the Hexsquad shenanigans in Thanks to Them” plot is that he never gets a silly t-shirt phase :(

It’s so important to me that people recognize that Philip is a silly t-shirt guy and it’s tragic he never gets to express that about himself (I literally have a list in my sketchbook titled “dumb t-shirt ideas” that I never got to use)

If you’re wondering what Philip’s current t-shirt says it’s “America? What pride flag is that?” In case you thought I was joking about what the atrocious quality of the jokes on his shirts would be.

I’ve learned new knowledge today in that you don’t have to worry about lineart to color/shade/render sketches

This newfound power, it’s electrifying.
