Ummm I cud not correct u either way I’m not really certain myself 😭 . I think Ferrari caught him in the right headspace to finally take the leap and ((as they shud)) put the right numbers on the table. Idk if it’s just because its ‘Ferrari’ but there’s definitely a legacy aspect to it that’s very appealing and he’s literally Lewis Hamilton he can do whatvr. Maybe the ambassador thing was that huge maybe it wasnt but my gut feeling is that lewis was itching for a change anyway and like thinking back on it this Lewis/merc disconnect has been going on for at least two years

Imo I think lewis realized he did not have go down wid torgers ship next to fucking George Russell and Elkann saw him wobble and made his move . It’s a better contract wid a better car that cud potentially cement a truly untouchable place in history next to somebody chasing after a legacy of his own which is kinda catnip for old man too. The vibes are a lil off the way it was announced I’ll say that but it’s certainly a choice only Lewis cud make
