welcome to the losers club, asshole!

let's pretend im not answering this 2 days after halloween..... :)

BUT i think that the losers would loooooooove a good group costume. i think one of my earliest hcs on this blog was that one year when the losers are super young (lets pretend that they established the losers club when they were younger ok), maggie takes all of them out trick or treating and, and maggie dresses up and snow white and the losers are the 7 dwarves!!!! i still think that would be so so cute T^T

i think that as they get older they would still try to go a group costume, it would be harder to find a 7-person costume to go as but i think they'd somehow always make it work. i remember one time i saw a group of people go as the 7 deadly sins, like one person dressed in pyjamas and acted sleepy for sloth, one person dressed entirely in green for envy, one person wore a sexy outfit for lust, etc etc, i think the losers could have fun with that. also not specifically an exact 7-person costume, but like taking a franchise with lots of characters and choosing some to dress up as together: like care bears (fun fact my friends and i did care bears one year for halloween in high school, it was super fun hehe), mario characters, superheroes.... i just think they'd love to all dress up together as a group! makes it so fun, especially if they all work on making their costumes together :)) and i just know that in a group costume they would fight over who gets to be which character lololol

also bonus: i looked up "7-person group halloween costume" for some inspo and i found this group costume of "shark week"

and this is also SO GOOD, i defs think they would do this lolol

i think that stanley would actually really enjoy horror movies because he is very much the type of person who is like "it's not real. it's a movie. i know it's not real, so why would i be scared of it. what do you mean this movie is scary, it's literally people acting it's not real" and so because of that whenever the losers have movie night he always chooses a horror movie.

and, im also imagining that he does this because richie DOES get scared of horror movies (payback for when richie made fun of him for being scared of spiders)

also!!! he finds out that patty ALSO loves horror movies so for their first date stan finds this drive-in movie thing that is playing horror movies all night, so he takes her there and they have a movie marathon together :3

haven’t been able to stop thinking about this hc since i talked about it with @whatthefuckisasweep the other day BUT imagine the losers deciding to do this big fun photoshoot together for celebrating the end of high school.

they go to thrift stores and find these old and silly outfits to wear, beverly helps fix them up and alter them, they make their own silly props, and then they set up in bill’s garage and do their fun little photoshoot. but they had so much fun doing it, that it becomes an annual thing.

every year, they plan out a new photoshoot with a new theme and costumes and everything. beverly will make their costumes, but after a few years everyone realizes how hard it is for one person to make 7 costumes, so then bev starts to teach the boys how to sew and they all work on it together!!! they continue this tradition all throughout college, and their photoshoots always turn out goofy as hell because it’s so low budget and they have to make everything themselves, but they have fun with it so they don’t really care about the quality.

BUT THEN, imagine how their photoshoots would be AS ADULTS!!!! imagine the adult losers, several of whom are now very wealthy, and imagine them spending SOOO much money on these photoshoots. richie gets an actual professional camera man, bev supplies high quality fashion (dw, their outfits are still very goofy and silly, it’s just expensive goofy and silly now 😌), and these photoshoots are like. so well done, so professional…… but the losers are still losers and they’re still having fun with it, these silly little photoshoots making them feel like they’re teenagers again :’)

and also!!!! they definitely have a big photo album that they put all of the annual shoot pictures in. and one time, when they’re trying to think of what this year’s photoshoot theme should be, they’re flipping through the photo album and decide to recreate their very first photoshoot from like 20 years ago!!!

in conclusion, the losers are so so silly and i love them.

hc where stan accidentally finds out that richie and eddie are dating. it happens one time when stan is hanging out with eddie post-derry 2.0, eddie happens to be in atlanta for a work thing and he and stan plan to meet and catch up. they’re out for dinner, and when eddie is in the bathroom, stan’s phone on the table starts to buzz. except, stan doesn’t realize that he and eddie happen to have not only the same make and model of phone, but also the same phone case, so when stan picks up the phone he thinks is his, it’s actually eddie’s. 

stan doesn’t realize until he reads the notification, which is a text from richie (or, as the contact name reads: richie💗, which stan thinks is weirdly affectionate for eddie to put as the contact name of just a friend). stan honestly didn’t mean to snoop, but he read the text without thinking, which said “i miss you so much. can’t wait until you’re back home”, followed by numerous heart and kissy-face emoticons. 

now, stan didn’t have to be a genius to put two and two together. from richie’s contact name, to the contents of the text, plus the fact that richie and eddie have been “roommates” for the past six months with eddie showing no sign of moving out any time soon... stan quickly puts two and two together. 

stanley quickly puts the phone back down, exactly back to how it was sitting on the table as eddie comes out from the bathroom, and he doesn’t bring it up.  he watches eddie check his phone, fail to hold back a smile as he reads the text, then quickly continue on with their conversation about how patty’s coming along with her pregnancy before stan can ask what it is he’s smiling about. 

stan doesn’t ask eddie about it. he doesn’t ask richie about it the next time he sees him either, and when some of the losers take a trip out to L.A. and stay with richie and eddie for a few days, stan pretends not to notice that the two “roommates” are sleeping in the same bedroom. 

even when richie and eddie come out a few months later and tell their friends that they’re dating, stan puts on his best performance to act surprised, but deep down he just feel so happy for them and proud of them. eventually, though, years later, he can’t keep it a secret anymore when he’s talking to eddie about his relationship with richie, and eddie brings up that “he can’t believe nobody noticed that they had been dating.”

stan can’t help it. he lets out a little laugh, and when eddie questions him about it, he spills the entire story of when he accidentally looked at eddie’s phone years earlier and put together the whole thing. eddie is quite embarrassed (mostly because someone had witnessed the gushy messages he and richie send each other), but he’s mostly... thankful. thankful that stan never said anything, that he never told anyone about it, that he just pretended he didn’t know to respect his and richie’s privacy. 

although, eddie supposed it wasn’t very surprising. after all... stan the man was always the best friend eddie ever had.  

i have a playlist of old songs that i like to listen to and god every time i listen to it and “then he kissed me comes on” i always think of stanpat. AUGH
