i will always stand by eddie kaspbrak becoming a koala hugger in his sleep. soon after they start dating richie wakes up in the middle of the night like "gawdamn why am i SWEATING and also why can't i move" and then he opens his eyes and sees full grown man and boyfriend eddie kaspbrak CLINGING onto him tightly, eddie's arms around richie's waist and eddie's legs wrapped around richie's, richie is not going ANYWHERE. not that he's going to complain, OBVIOUSLY. not when eddie looks so peaceful lying there, which is a relief to see after eddie's struggle with having nightmares after derry 2.0. and besides, richie knows that eddie runs cold and so he just accepts his fate as he lies there, at least knowing that eddie is absorbing his body heat to keep warm. it's just a good thing that eddie wakes up first in the morning, or else richie would be late for work every day because there's no way he'd be able to get out of that kaspbrak grip.
