Another day another Footnotes fanart.
Chapter 68 was soul destroying and I drew this to cope because despite the sheer amount that happened in that chapter, this passage stuck in my head all week.

As he leaned over it, he saw his own reflection in the still water, and he barely held back a gasp when golden eyes met his. He was aware that he had changed, but with no mirrors in Heaven, this was his first time seeing the face of the supreme archangel; the golden flakes on his cheek as though something was breaking through from within, matching the new color of his iris.
