do you love yuri? gorgeous art styles? sick ass action scenes with unbelievably stupid stakes? a solid mostly female main cast of characters that play off of each other really well and are also funny as fuck?

Introducing "Love Bullet", the GL manga about cupids! with GUNS!

The series isn't officially localized in english yet, but luckily fan translators are hard at work on a real-time english translation (I won't share a link here, but you can find it easily enough)

*flowey voice* huh? why am i doing all this? because love bullet is at risk of being cancelled!

the author's said she already has the entire story planned out, but due to bad marketing and a lack of official english translations, the sales for volume one have been pretty low, and the story risks being discontinued

the chapters out so far aren't many, they're a relatively quick read, and really entertaining all the same. i am DYING to see more of these characters, they're loads of fun and there's some genuinely interesting hypotheticals about love, romance (and lack thereof) the series could get into... but only if it stays running!!

so please, give this story a shot (lol) and if you like it, consider supporting the original mangaka. other fans of LB have been resourceful enough to put together a way for you to do that, even as a western fan, so it's the least i can do to spread the word.

do it for yuri... and also insane women and heart grenade launchers

Aw thank you! 🤗 Hah I remember when I first noticed artists using this soft glow effect and then I slammed it on all of my art!! :3 Haha sure I’ll gladly help you 😊

✨SOFT GLOW EFFECT✨

Edward will be our model for this:

1. Duplicate your flattened drawing and blur the upper layer to look something like this:

2. Lower the opacity to somewhere around 30-35%. You’re done. Wowie.

3. (optional) Now if you want you could do some more advanced stuff like apply a greyscale of your drawing as a mask to the blurred layer (then crank up the opacity). That way the light parts of your drawing will appear more blurred and the dark ones will be sharper.

The difference is subtle, but it will make your drawing look less washed out while still maintining that dreamy look. You can see the difference here, focus on the dark bag :)

✨SOFT LINEART EFFECT✨

Another technique that I like to use in Photoshop is adding an "Outer Glow” layer style to the lineart layer :) I usually tint it to be reddish and it looks really nice and organic without blurring away any details 😊

The same feature probably exists in other apps too, try and find it! Here are my PS settings in any case:

Due to my own lack of experience and knowledge of what queer platonic relationships can look like, I have no idea how I feel about it. I can’t envision it simply because I have no idea what the possibilities are, but as long as the babies are happy and healthy, so am I! But if you could give or point me towards examples of what you’re envisioning then maybe I can give a more clear answer? But I love and support all of this

I’m kinda nervous to answer cuz I feel like some people have different definitions and also I suck at words,, but basically I have aunts who are in a QPR. They bought a home together, raised a child together, attend every family event and holiday together, are each others’ emergency contact, and are basically each other’s most trusted person. The only difference between that and being in a romantic relationship is they don’t really see each other in a typical romantic way. They’re like best friends, if it was normal for best friends to raise a child together; and they’re like soul mates, if soul mates didn’t ever have any interest in kissing.

#QPR#There’s definitely better ways of explaining this stuff#I’m grey ace and I definitely have examples in my head but words are HARD#I think the most important part about a QPR vs a romance is how the people actually in the couple personally define their relationship#like they say they are asexual and in a non romantic but very important relationship then that’s cool#I’m also just very good with going w the flow lmao#my aunts are both asexual and I call them my aunts despite them not being married cuz…. they basically are both my aunts now
