In six more days, it will mark one year since October 7th. It will have been a year since humanity allowed the genocidal pogrom in the Middle East, carried out by Western countries alongside Israel. I remember the martyrs of Palestine: Hind, Mehdi, Susan, and her twin sister (and so, so many more).
I can say with confidence that I feel no sympathy for the bombardment Israel is currently facing. Using the logic of many Zionists, these countries have the right to defend themselves. I can only hope the IOF and Netanyahu's administration have the sense not to use their own citizens as human shields. I hope the Israelis who have been outspoken against Netanyahu and the genocide in Palestine find safety. However, I can't say I'd feel particularly sorry for those Israelis who continue to uphold apartheid and genocide.
And for those of you who were in the comments of my past posts - defending Israel: I will never forget you. I will never feel sorry for you. I hope the views you held on this conflict haunt you when you open history books. I hope it haunts you when your comments, your posts, your words, and your visage are utilized in school curricula worldwide, and children look at you and say, “Oh! Those were the bad guys. Those were the people who preached ‘never again,’ but supported a genocide carried out in their name.”
You may argue that what Israel is doing is for the greater good. What isn't arguable is your failure to possess humanity. You don't even stand for anything. Without your indiscriminate bigotry and hate, you are nothing. You live for nothing, and that's pitiful.
