M’kay, I gotta share this idea because I like it a lot.

My sister and I were talking about the mcu, spider-man specifically, and which characters from the comics would be fun to see in future movies. I’m a big Gwen Stacy fan so she’s someone I’d like to see in some form.

So here’s the idea: Gwen Stacy is introduced much like she appears in the comics. She and Peter get close and maybe develop feelings (they could just be strong friendship feelings since he clearly likes mj already). But Gwen hates spider-man and possibly super humans in General because they failed to save her father captain Stacy.

My sisters idea was that maybe he died during the events of the first avengers movie, but this part is flexible.

Importantly, we also get the green goblin in this movie and that’s the main villain spidey is dealing with. At some point green goblin has kidnapped Gwen and we head into a scene that looks like it’ll play out the same as the night Gwen Stacy died.

Now we get the twist. Gwen is Green Goblin. She’s smart and she designed the goblin armor and glider as part of a plan to get revenge on the heroes who didn’t save her father.

Now Peter has to fight Gwen, someone he’s gotten close to and cares about. Ultimately she dies accidentally during this fight, keeping things parallel to comic book canon.

And what about Norman Osborn? Well at the end he salvaged Gwens tech, stealing it for himself and setting him up to be green goblin going forward.
