I’m not a fan of romance. I can count the amount of times I’ve cried over shows or films on one hand, and I’ve never cried watching a romantic movie (well I did cry watching Titanic but you’ll never guess what scene hit me so hard I actually cried).

And then those two happen. They meet and a whole fandom starts shipping them (props, by the way, to those who were shipping them from the very beginning!) but I don’t really bother. Stuff happen, and I don’t care nor see them being a possible couple.

Then they kiss, and I’m like holy shit those two have some good potential. But I still don’t care much whether they’ll be together or not. Then they get together, Tumblr explodes, but I’m still indecisive.

FWIW, I’d never actually shipped any fictional couple, never had had an OTP. There had been some romances here and there that had caught my fancy, but they were never enough for me to care so much.

Then that scene above happens and I’m overflowed by feelings. I find myself actually wanting them together. I’m 21 years old and it took me watching a couple for two and a half seasons/years to actually ship them. I love them so much, each character individually but even more together, watching their relationship become so well-balanced, genuine and true.

I love it because I see it. I see them developing, I see them changing and becoming the best versions of themselves, I see them fall in love. And above all, I’m happy there are so many lovely people in this fandom providing us with adorable fanfiction, incredible fanart and exceptional metas.

This is so amazing!

I love reading about how people fell in love with CS and the more diverse those opinions are, more interesting it is to me. It’s adorable they managed to conquer your heart slowly (but surely!) to the point that they’re your first OTP. It warms my heart :)
