I love what you said about the vicious cycle - that the darkness influences Emma to make people fear her, and because people fear her they stay away. So she feels unloved and thus the darkness feeds on the loneliness it caused.

Thank you! I do think that’s where the storyline is headed and it’s definitely the way I’m interpreting it right now. And it also fits what Adam and Eddy said about those who love Emma doing things with the absolute best intentions but those actions ultimately turning against them and having the opposite effect. I guess we’ll see :)

I know I promised myself I wouldn’t speculate much about this season, but looking at this:

And especially after watching the latest sneak peek and how Emma doesn’t seem to be able to control the darkness very well right from the beginning, I do wonder if there is some magical object in Camelot that takes her darkness away temporarily? Maybe her white cape or even the pink roses?
