Hey! Jen said in this interview that Emma lost all of her jewelry (including Graham’s shoelace) in her rebirth as Dark Swan:

“I've actually 'lost' all of my jewelry since the end of Dark Swan, everything that Emma's been wearing consistently," says Jennifer Morrison. "I felt like there was such a huge transition in the time in her life that this was a 'rebirth' in a way. But all of those things are not gone, they're just, in my mind, in her little cigar box of memories that she keeps.”

Personally, I completely agree with this and even prefer it this way. My problem starts when people see an issue in Emma wearing these things but not in Killian’s tattoo.

I thought it was a promo. And, as with any promo, it’s a 20 second video that gives us a tiny and completely out of context glimpse of the first episode. This means that what we see can be entirely misleading (which has happened quite a lot with OUAT in the past). Still, none of what I saw had me worried or concerned for what’s to come. I have no idea how any of that is going to play out in the actual episode so I’ll just wait for it to air and then I will talk about it and say what I think. Whatever I’d say right now wouldn’t be a canon analysis, but a comment on my assumptions after watching the promo.

I do think we will get a sex scene, I just don’t expect it to be HBO material, for obvious reasons, but we will get something. As for how I see it going/happening? I’m not sure if you mean the context in which I see it happening or if you’re talking about how I envision the scene to play out so I’ll try to answer to both. 

Context: I’ve said before that I have a preference for seeing them finally taking that step once Emma gets rid of the darkness, solely because I think this story arc will make them a much stronger and solid couple. Possibly making love for the first time would be the perfect physical response to the end of such an intense and emotionally exhausting journey. It would be a satisfying reward for all the angst they (and we) will have to endure during the Dark Swan storyline.

How the scene would play out: I’m only thinking about this now for the first time, but I swear I’ll try not to turn it into a fanfic. Assuming Emma will keep the house she gets while being the Dark Swan, I would have them relaxing in Emma’s bedroom, having a meaningful talk about what happened and how much they missed “normal” (maybe paralleling their almost ILY in Emma’s bedroom in the loft in the season 4 finale). Then they exchange ILY’s and some really intense “I want you” looks, they kiss and… while I think the show will probably have the scene fade out after that, there is something that I think would be beautiful for us to see: the both of them taking off each other’s leather jackets. It’s no secret that Emma’s red leather jacket and Killian’s black leather one work as their armor and protection due to everything they’ve been through in life. All that leather represents the walls they’ve built over the years. If you saw them stripping each other off their jackets, not only would that be an obvious indication of what was about to happen, it would also symbolize how they’ve finally brought all of their walls down (and paralleling it with the voiceover played over in their season 3 finale kiss). And… it would still be a totally safe thing to be shown on OUAT and ABC.

So there you go, that’s totally how I’d do it if I were the one in charge. I hope that answered your question.

I’ve given up trying to make sense of all the spoilers we’ve got this season and that’s actually a good thing because we most likely will be surprised when the episodes air! But…

While these filming pics may show a CS wedding, I don’t actually think we’ll get one. At least not now. Why? Mainly for two reasons: CS is the main couple of this show, Emma is the main character. A marriage with her true love would be a big part of her happy ending and a HUGE moment for the CS relationship. And I just don’t see the writers going this way that early on in the game They’ve hinted in the past that the show would end with Emma’s “happily ever after”, and while marrying Killian is not the only component of her happy ending, it’s still a very big step toward it and I think they’ll probably postpone such moment the most they can. The other reason has to do with the pace set on CS since the beginning. For the audience (not timeline wise), and compared to the other TL couples, CS is a really slow burn relationship. We’ve seen them slowly falling for each other and bringing down each other’s walls. We’ve seen them accepting their feelings and finally giving love another chance. They went on dates, did coupley things together, expressed more than once how much they felt about each other and, finally, we got an “I love you”. Let’s remember we got the first ILY more than two seasons after they met. It’s a long time. So I just don’t see how having them getting married so soon (Jane Espenson has hinted that the show may have at least 7 seasons) would be in accordance to the structure we’ve been presented so far. It could happen, and I obviously wouldn’t be opposed to it, but I really think that’s a scene meant to foreshadow a CS wedding. Eventually, in the future.

Either way, whether it’s a dream, a vision or a real scene, I’m so freaking EXCITED! The more I hear about season 5, the more pumped I get!

And it was said in a playful and jokingly manner, Jen and Colin both laughed it off. I don’t know why it should be considered “wrong”. I think it was a really funny moment, actually!

And thank you! I know I’m not alone. In fact, I’m pretty positive I’m far from being in the minority here. And it’s a good point you bring about the Yvette thing. I know people have been interpreting that as Yvette referring to CS, but to me it was very obvious she was talking about Jen and Colin given their previous comments about themselves (not CS). And they both laughed it off, even Josh cracked up. LOL

i don’t see anything wrong with shipping rl people. i think colifer would be adorable. but there’s something seriously wrong with writing fanfiction about rl ships. i’ve never seen this with the ouat fandom, but i know it’s done a lot with the 1d fandom. same with rping as real people. it’s incredibly rude. that person runs the chance of seeing that. as unlikely as it is, how would you feel if you came upon a smut fanfiction of you with your best friend? (not you you. a general you.)

I agree with you, I’m not comfortable writing fanfiction about real life ships, it just feels wrong. But I don’t judge those who do. Again, if it’s done in a private environment and ensuring that none of those things reach the actors, no harm is being done. Then it’s just up to each person if they feel comfortable writing or reading it. But yes, please, for the love of everything that’s precious, never send the actors any of that. Even fanfiction about their characters is weird to them, so no. Huge NO NO.

 (2/3) that I genuinely do think they look cute together and that I feel if their lives had been different or they had met earlier probably they would have fallen in love. But quite frankly, the attitude of people in this fandom, like one of the replies you just got to your post, keeps me from ever coming out of my shipping closet, so to speak. I mean I love my shipmates, I do, but I feel there’s a lot of righteousness in the fandom a lot of the time and it makes me kind of angry, ppl say (cont)(3/3) say that shipping Colifer is rude as if that was the worst thing in the fandom, when 99% of the people I know keep to themselves and their tight group about it and never tweet Colin or Jen about it, and getting told I’m basically satan for feeling something that is NOT hurting anyone in the slightest is just really off-putting. It’s perfectly fine if people don’t agree with shipping real ppl or whatever, but I really wish the righteousness and condescension would stop *sigh*(Sorry, last one I promise) Anyway, I just wanted to thank you again for your thoughtful post, and even when I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to “publicly” admit I ship it, I still will enjoy their actual friendship and camaraderie and be thankful that there are kind, open-minded and thoughtful people out there like you who don’t hate us just because.

Hey anon! Thanks for the heartfelt message. I think your feelings match a lot of those in the fandom that I have been able to interact with. As I mentioned in my first post, I think it’s sad how so many people are villainized because of this. It doesn’t make sense to me, especially when it seems to be this huge big deal only in the OUAT fandom. I guess it could be a consequence of everything being exacerbated here, who knows? Either way, I think it’s awful this is preventing people from “coming out”, as you mentioned. I know people who would literally lose friends if they admitted to shipping Colifer and/or other real life ships. How sad is that?

Having said that, this allows for an important reflection on life in general and not just related to shipping: people will disagree with you (and they also have all the right to it). And they’ll probably even judge you, it’s just the way it is. But if you believe in something, you should stand by it, no matter what. Do you believe in it? Are you sure that what might be said about you isn’t your truth? Then don’t be afraid to show it. Life gets a lot funnier and easier when you stop being afraid of what other people may say or think about you. Don’t be afraid. There’ll always be at least one person knowing how you feel.

Hi! And thanks for the compliment :) Omg, you’ve spoken what in this fandom I like to call the “C” word. This is going to be controversial, but I believe 100% in what I’ll be saying so I really have no issue in putting it “on paper”. And I think it’s something that needs to be said.

What do I think about the Colifer ship? I’ve said it before: people are allowed to ship whoever they want. I don’t see why shipping Colin and Jen together should be any different. More under the cut.

Hi, anon. Thanks for the question! I’m not sure if I missed something, but Killian was actually the one spotted with the dagger in those filming pics, right?I’m assuming you’re talking about the confusion there was that day about who got to keep it. Of course we have no idea if Killian will keep it or if somebody else will be responsible for it. Either way… I have no issue in manifesting that I’m not too fond of Regina’s character, and I do think she has been having a lot of focus for a long time now, but… it’s important to try and leave aside our personal preferences as best as we can when analyzing what happens on screen. And if you are successful in doing that, I think it’s rather obvious that Regina keeping Emma’s dagger actually does make a lot of sense.

Do I want it to be Regina keeping it? No. Would I have Regina being the one responsible for it if I were writing the show? No. But that doesn’t mean that scenario is completely absurd. Regina is the only magic user in town now and that is something that may be important in hiding the dagger from Emma or anybody else whose intentions are questionable. 

Killian, Henry, Snow and Charming are the people who are closest to Emma and love her the most. However, despite their best efforts to bring her back, they don’t have magic. They can’t make the dagger invisible or create a protection shield around it, just to come up with some possibilities. With Rumple no longer being the Dark One and Zelena not being able to use her magic, Regina is the only one elligible to do something of that kind. So, if for some reason they need to resort to magic to protect the dagger, Regina is actually the obvious choice.

Based on my personal preferences and what I would like to see, I hope that doesn’t happen, but if it does and it makes sense, I cannot be mad.

I have seen the spoilerish pics, yes. But at this point in time there’s really no use in coming up with any conclusions, because pictures can be deceiving.

If OQ has a TLK I think a CS TLK is less likely to happen this season. I don’t see the show having two of its power couples sharing the ultimate True Love moment so close in time to each other.

Having said that, I still think this is the perfect storyline for CS to have a TLK as I have explained in some of my previous posts. However, if it doesn’t end up happening and the show comes up with another solution that is satisfying, I won’t be sad. CS will share a TLK, it’s just a question of time.

I did! I really enjoyed the Frozen arc and that definitely had to do with Georgina and Elizabeth’s awesome portrayal of Elsa and Anna. 

Things I really enjoyed in season 4:

- the Frozen Swan friendship. Elsa genuinely cared about Emma and she was a great friend while Emma started doubting herself and the control over her magic. I loved that friendship.

 - Getting to know more about Emma’s past. Abby Ross is so great at playing young Emma (the casting department of the show is really good). The heartbreaking glimpses we got made me love her character even more.

- Captain Swan. Overall it was a great season for CS. I know a lot of CSers were disappointed in the way 4A ended for CS (I was too), but as I always say, that has been the only moment so far that the writers have let me down as far as CS goes. As so, I think it would be unfair on my part to dislike the entire season for CS because of one unfortunate moment. I prefer to focus on the amazing moments we got and where the writers defintely didn’t let us down: we got Emma’s walls crumbling down for good, their first date, numerous love declarations (culminating in Emma’s ILY) and both of them eing each other’s support system, especially with Killian being the one getting through to her and helping her in emotionally reuniting Emma with her parents.

What I didn’t enjoy so much about season 4:

- the contrived and anticlimatic way the Snow Queen arc ended. 

- the author storyline and how nobody told Regina what we all knew since the very beginning of that storyline: that only her actions mattered, not what some author wrote. I felt like the other characters were dumbed down to support that storyline. In normal circumstances, Emma, Henry and even Snow and Charming would have told Regina that her only chance at a happy ending being dependent on the author, instead of herself, was silly.

- CS never having a serious talk about what happened with Killian and Rumple during 4A.

- the Emma/Regina friendship. I already expanded on this before, but until Regina apologizes to Emma for everything she did to her and stops being rude to Emma I won’t be able to like that friendship. Emma and Regina being friends is not forced. As I also said before, I called it way back in season 1, but they need to be developed way better. Have Regina sincerely apologize to Emma. Do not have Regina bullying Emma. Do not have Emma taking the abuse as if it were nothing. Maybe then I will enjoy it.

- Zelena basically raping Robin and the audience getting absolutely no POV from Robin, the victim.

- too many characters clogging up screentime.

But all in all, although it wasn’t my favorite season, I enjoyed season 4. And I have very high expectations for season 5, so I hope that doesn’t come back to bite me in the rear.

Hahaha, same! Honestly, I felt more comfortable with my writing, so I’m sure there are a lot more talented people in this fandom who would do a great job with this. If no one writes it, then I’ll try my luck. I’m just leaving this here in case anyone gets inspired!
