the nonstop "columbo is so fucking poor" jokes are sending me

i've somehow got into the habit of doing my spritework while watching columbo in the corner of the screen (it's mostly a dialogue show so you don't need to look at it most of the time). the only question is how far i can get into development before running out of columbo

got tired of not having anything to play longterm so i started up arknights again. i like starting fresh, so here's my new account at the end of day 1. (podenco and jaye are waiting in the wings.)

the rules for this run are that I can only use 4* and permanently available welfare units (so if i were to run through babel right now i wouldn't be allowed to use odda, but i can go grab gladiia when i'm ready). selector tickets are not allowed, so i just grabbed silence and manticore for moral support.

however, cm/ex stages are on a strictly "when i feel like it" basis. all my medals are gone anyway so who cares.

just had a dream where i was playing some old rpg where the towns had guards that could get killed really easily by monsters that come out at night, so the guards were set to respawn every once in a while, but they were bugged so that when they respawned they came back as infinitely respawning hostile zombies. although they were easy to kill, it was annoying, so i dealt with it by knocking all the guards out and hiding their bodies in safe spots indoors so they wouldn't die

anyway when i woke up i decided this all sounded like such a plausible problem for a real game to have that I'm pretty sure i just astral projected into an alternate universe bethesda game

could someone who still plays arknights summarize the event for me? i retired years ago but i'm interested in the backstory reveal

a huge difference between being an artist today and being one pre-internet is the ease of which you can acquire references.

if you wanted to draw, like, a train or a horse or something, and you didn't have a picture of one laying around in a magazine or newspaper or whatever, you were drawing that shit from memory. good fucking luck.
