vetblr. always tired, always trying :)

My current shelf: it’s birdy, bookish, colourful, and entirely me c: Had a mock MCQ thingy today that went pretty well, and I’m currently studying while enjoying the raindrops against my window and some good old Taylor Swift. 

Life’s a bitch, or so I’ve learnt. From my fundraiser being cancelled to disagreements here and there with friends, I will say that life is also one wonderful gal if you handle her well through her low points. The sun will come out eventually, but the rain can be pretty beautiful if you pause through all the chaos to look at it.

Currently reading: what a time to be alone, Chidera Eggerue. My wonderful friend lent it to me and it’s honestly been a wonderful read! A bunch of aesthetically pleasing life lessons all in a book that will make you sit and reflect tons.

Have I mentioned how much I love my study space? Because I love my damn study space. Lately I have been very up and down, but I got my exam results back and just about managed a first!! Wasn’t expecting it, but I’m taking it as a sign that if I work at it I’m going to be just fine and do well. Hang on tight, amazon birdies, I’m coming to save you! One test at a time, I’ll get there.

I was reading my old journals with my flatmates on a night when we were all particularly down, and it really put things into perspective. Because, as 2017 me put it, “the future comes one day at a time”. Which was advice that 2019 me didn’t even know she needed. We stan journalling, we really do.
