i actually need old man logan so bad my heart physically aches oh my fucking god
Steve renting out a whole science museum for a date with Bucky so his boyfriend doesn’t have to deal with the anxiety he gets from being in crowded places
#cries in agreement #that’s so sweet omggggg #bucky would drag Steve through the whole place like a giddy geek #them holding hands #bucky pressing up against the glass as he peers in excitedly #Steve just smiling the whole time because happy bucky means happy steve
@chaos-and-ink yeah 🥺🥺🥺 Bucky’s favourite exhibit is absolutely space, and he falls even more in love with Steve when he tries to impress Bucky by sharing all the cool he learned about space after waking up
#this is so sweet agsgdshdg 🥺 #but also it’s making me think of freshly thawed steve #even months after waking up #whose immediate response upon seeing space related stuff #is *still* that he should tell bucky when he gets home bc omg bucky’s gonna love that #and the realization that he can’t do that just hitting him like a brick all at once #but just- the idea of him deliberately pursuing things that he knows bucky would have loved #loved to learn or loved to see or both #just to feel close to bucky however he can #to keep him alive in his heart #ahhhh man that kills the rils
@rillils *sobbing quietly*
Hugh Jackman as Logan Howlett/Wolverine X-MEN (2000)
Send help, I am watching CA: TFA, and I am overcome and emotional about Steve's refusal to give up or stop trying to rescue Bucky, even when the odds are vanishingly small. Because this part of the movie really goes:
Peggy: Your audience contained what's left of the 107th (Bucky is very probably dead #1)
Phillips: Tells Steve he signed a condolence letter to the Barnes' (Bucky is very probably dead #2)
Steve: Fuck that, I'm staging a one-man rescue. (Actually, yes, Peggy, he will walk to Austria if he has to!)
Steve: Finds and rescues imprisoned members of the 107th and sees that Bucky isn't among them. (Bucky is very, very, mostly likely dead #3)
Steve: Asks the 107th guys if they've know/have seen Bucky.
Rescued 107th members: Tell Steve that there is this super terrifying isolation room place, but no one comes back from that. Not ever. So. (No, really, it is almost 100 percent certain that Bucky is dead. #4.)
Steve: Right, so I'm going to search every inch of this factory for bucky while single-handedly fighting off Hydra soldiers. You guys good to go storm out through the doors and take on those Hyrda soldiers? (Don't worry, Steve's got this! He knocked out Adolf Hitler over 200 times!) And I am an absolute disaster about it over here tonight. The dedication. The determination. The devotion.
(They're so in love. I'm so weak about it. It is too early in this movie for me to be this emotional. Send help.)
I think something else that makes me feral is that if he didn't!!!! If he didn't!!! Bucky would be dead!!!
If he didn't cling to that hope, that chance, didn't search the whole factory because he couldn't leave it to chance, Bucky would be dead. Steve's sheer determination and desperate hope saved Bucky Barnes, and 70 years later he would do it again.
Yet another Winter Soldier sketch. Photoshop.
Not sure why it’s just showing a small size. Here’s the bigger size: https://i.imgur.com/pEiUix0.jpg
Hugh Jackman was made for the female gaze
whomagazine: Sebastian Stan they don’t love you like I love you
You’re not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you.
★ I don't trust my mind ★
the Winter Soldier running off of chemicals though
the modern medical marvel, the human machine -
jerked out of cryostasis with a hit of adrenaline, enough to open his eyes and start his heart racing, just enough for the monitors to read that he’s still alive, still useful
reenergized with amphetamines, kept awake for days and days until his mission is complete, hungry but awake, so wide awake that he can’t hear his target’s screams over his own crashing heartbeat
tormented with psychotropics, hallucinating faces he doesn’t remember while they fill his head with electricity and pick and chose the parts of him that are the most useful
rewarded with the slide of a needle into the crook his arm, the only time he doesn’t fight them because he’s learned that they’ll lock him up hungry if he doesn’t let them, the closest thing to bliss he knows being the times the doctors give him the barest minimum of nutrients that they explain will make him stronger
trapped inside a paralyzed body, powerless except to watch as they arrange him inside the chamber again, wide awake inside his head, his heart still beating, still racing and it’s so - cold -
HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
I LOVE U BUCKY BARNES THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE U
he's petting a big kitty... i hate him...
[uncanny x-men (1963) #116]
it always stuns me a little how quiet and slow and disjointed the rest of that helicarrier "fight" (if it can be called that at that point) is compared to the grand chaos of everything that just went down and is still going on around them. putting a brand new take on the whole "slow dancing in a burning room" thing
in that same vein: just how willingly and quietly steve literally lays down and gives himself over to the point where he almost seems at peace meanwhile bucky's living through all nine circles of hell all at once very, very visibly and loudly. like
dont know whats wrong with me but im pretty sure old man logan would fix it x
