The cream filling smoothed over Peter’s tongue and he pulled the muscle back inside his lips to suck at it. The sweetness accompanying the whipped cream cheese pulled a moan from low in his throat. His already closed eyes rolled back and he smirked.

A small giggle pulled his eyes open and down to the beautiful blush on Rose’s cheeks. She turned her head, avoiding his hungry gaze and he chuckled, “You are beyond amazing.”

With a finger under her chin, he turned her face back toward him and captured her lips between his own, sharing the lingering sugar. She was the most amazing woman that he knew he didn’t deserve. When she’d inquired about his favorite fall foods, he’d expected a feast. Just not like this.

He came home to their apartment -he loved the sound of that phrase- to find her sprawled out on the living room floor. A modest fire was flickering away in the hearth. But his eyes were glued to his Rose. Her body was lacking clothing, but it wasn’t bare.

Starting at her feet, she’d spread little bite size versions of the foods he’d listed out across her skin. Stuffed mushrooms balanced in her pointed toes, a few roasted Brussels sprouts up her shins, bites of juicy roast lined up along her thighs, and then the real treat of a sweet pumpkin spiced bread layers out in thin strips across her abdomen, followed by a strip of creamy filling between her breasts.

He’d fallen to his knees, dropping his keys and jacket to the floor, and immediately eaten the mushrooms. How long has she been lying there with those balanced for him? He took his time with the rest, making sure to clean her skin completely before moving on after each bite.

“Happy Anniversary.” Her words were swallowed by another kiss.

“Let’s get you into the shower so I can clean you up proper.” He stood up and offered her his hand.

As he guided her down the hallway past the kitchen he caught site of the full dishes of dinner on the table. First, shower. Then they could enjoy the rest of the lovely food.
