Thank you!! Hmmmm let's see I think what Richie finds most attractive about Eddie is maybe his unabashedness? Richie comes across as shameless by virtue of having no filter but we all know about the deep well of shame of course. So I think he'd like that Eddie is loud and neurotic but he isn't *ashamed*. Also his little runner body.
As for Eddie I think he likes Richies hidden sweetie streak and his very big feelings. He makes being kind to people look so easy and Eddie loves him for it.
I think also in general both of them are both attracted to and afraid of just how deeply they understand each other in a way very few people can

Ive been to so many seaside towns and Im really really into the whole "solving the mermaid/pirate's curse" vibe. Especially when there's kitch everywhere. I also really enjoy having them working at the same job especially as teenagers

From my little big book of reddie ideas okay here's a couple:
- Richie could drive stick shift as a teenager but he forgot how along with everything else and for some reason relearning that skill is extremely novel to him
- I want Eddie to exhibit frat boy behaviors because it's funny
- I kinda just want them to go fishing

ive seen a lot of corporate job reddie where either they're both older or Richie is a younger receptionist but I think an underutilized dynamic is both of them being young and inexperienced at their first office job together and being incredibly annoying to everyone involved
Eddie genuinely wants to climb the corporate ladder but even though it's just a placeholder gig for Richie the bosses like him more because he's funny and it drives Eddie completely insane. Every time Eddie tries to be friendly to their bosses Richie stands behind them and makes ass-kissing gestures with his hand. They annoy everyone but somehow they do their best work when they're put together on projects. Do you see the vision
