I'm a strong gamer Richie believer I think he likes FPSs and refitted retro games and I think he has a whole room in his house dedicated to nerd shit. I also think hes peripherally interested in like 12 different things that he never spends any time doing in favor of his debilitating twitter and youtube addiction

That guy wants his parents in a nice ass house on the beach somewhere and he wants them to send him pictures of them doing retired shit so he can roast them for it. They deserve it

I'm a big fan of fics where Richie experiments with drag in his forties and weeps a little bit about it. I think he's the kind of young adult that was like "being a girl is so much better than being a guy this is a universally understood concept and I'm not going to examine this thought further"

I actually thought up a whole au a while ago where Maggie can't live on her own anymore and comes to live with Eddie and Richie and it becomes a whole sitcom scenario. The too-honest answer is I like Richie and Eddie because their whole lives got fucked up and it took them until their forties to fix it and it's comforting to me to read stories about them being happy because it makes me feel like I have plenty of time to get my own life sorted. The normal answer is because they're fucking insane

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

I like that Richie canonically loves Eddie and I like that Eddie canonically crawled around under a porch pretending to be a hobo for some fucking reason

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

Uuuuuuhhhh idk some of Richie's movie dialogue was pretty lame but that goes for all of them really. I don't care for Eddie canonically, y'know, dying (just from like a fan perspective, I don't actually mind that he dies)

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Oh dude I have like a whole word document full of this shit how can I even choose just one.... Okay let's go with my headcanon that Richie would thrive as a member of a comedy band a la The Lonely Island. I think it would be better for his blood pressure if he could make people laugh without getting on stage and spilling his guts

I'm fascinated by the different ways people portray Richie's stand-up in fics but the funniest by far is stealing it whole cloth from an existing comic, implying that John Mulaney (because it's always John Mulaney, with one notable exception of James Acaster which is doubly hilarious because their styles could not be more different) does not exist in the It cinematic universe.
