Tamina's death hits harder because she has was the last person in Dastan's life he loved. Sharaman, Bis, Garsiv and Tus were all murdered by his uncle Nazim who despised him his entire life, I'm surprised Dastan didn't snap and turn evil

You are right, her death is the last drop. From there he literally became a man who just had lost everything exactly like he said to her once.

I've seen a lot of people make fun of Tamina's panic when she falls to her death despite telling Dastan to let her go, I think even though she knew he needed to let her go, she had zero time to resign herself to it, Nazim was trying to kill the love of her life, Dastan's shoulder was hurt, even with it being the only choice she could think of she was still scared
Tamina is so like Briseis, but peraphs a bit better written because she is a main character and it seems that writers had remembered it
