Warnings: This is just fluff and musical references. I wrote it on my phone, so there was not much proofreading. It may have a few typos (sorry)

Summary: Steve accidentally discovers your real singing voice and you try to explain him why you feel Insecure of it.

Notes: As quite a few oneshots i have released before, this short thing is an attempt of bringing to life a mentioned moment in my headcanon series. It can be read separatedly, but for more context you can check it on my masterlist.

No matter how much he had grown, Dustin will always be your little brother. Still, as time passed there were certain shared rituals he was starting to consider childish despite being comforting. Bedtime ones were the most shamefull to him, he slowly stopped asking directly for that sort of comfort even at those times where he did need it. However, you would always be able to read him well enough to provide the care without an expressed ask.

" If Steve finds out I will kill you." The boy warned you, guessing your intention as soon as you sat on the bed next to him " I'm not a baby anymore, you don't have to sing for me. "

" But I want to." You reassured him, sweetly caressing the top of his head. " Would you call Aragorn, son of Arathor, a baby for finding comfort in singing songs to his friends? "

The reference made him smile.

" Although it's true that badass characters in Lord of the Rings are always singing, you have to accept we live under different cultural values."

You chuckled, not willing to refuse the claim.

" And you have to accept you are never too old for comfort. " Was your simple correction. " It's alright, I promise no one will find out. Steve is still in the living room and with the TV on, I doubt he would hear anything."

In that at least you were mistaken, since the secrecy didn't last long.

-Only after growing tired of hearing you sing ' You are a mean one, Mr Grinch' he ends up confessing why he hates Christmas. 

- Andy is the sort of person who would give speeches about consumerism and children being brainwashed by commercials. It is a very important topic for him because it ruined his life, over the years he blamed himself a lot about wanting a Good Guy for his birthday when he was 6 and manipulative advertisement played a big role on that. 

- He is the least materialistic person you have ever met. Although he has a hard time expressing what he wants or needs you have clear that he prefers people over things. 

- If it would depend on him, he would spend Christmas like a regular day, but he has you and Kyle getting him out to get things and do holiday stuff. 

- Decorating the tree was easier to convince him about, you made the cabin look like a home and he couldn't complain of that. 

- It made him feel a bit fuzzy inside. His place would not be a prison or an Isolation spot anymore. You wanted to stay with him and turn it into a home, your home.

Warnings: Steve and Eddie being touch starved dorks not so subtly fighting over the reader. I’m once more writing while listening to Van Halen, what made this be inspired (and titled) after this . 

Summary: You pay a visit to Steve at work and Eddie insists on accompanying you. He starts to try joking with you right away, feeling optimistic about keeping his jealousy in control, but the mocks end up turning against him. 

Notes: I stretched the timeline just for this to make sense. Part 4 of the headcanon series is still in the making, but in the meantime I got this idea and made it a separated oneshot.

Steve was very disappointed with how things were turning out after graduation and, with Dustin being temporarily out of the picture, you were his main source of encouragement. That was the first summer you were spending alone in terms of not having the company of your brother for a fraction of it. Cheering up your mutual friend out of the letdown until he would find a job so his father would stop being more of an asshole than always to him was your new established priority. 

However, It was a matter of time until Eddie began to complain about his lack of time to be alone with you. Theatrical exaggerations speaking of how you were abandoning him, he would make it sound funny but the implied message was serious. Because of this other friend you were mostly seeing each other through your friendships in the club. You weren’t going to share about the particularly awful situation Steve was going through at home, simply stating that your friend needed you a lot and he was welcome to join you whenever he wanted. You knew that he would never accept hanging out if your ex bully friend would be involved, so there were not much more needed explanations to add. 

So, a couple of days ago I began to write an oneshot for my Steve x Henderson!Reader/ Eddie x Henderson!Reader concept. It's something that, despite of being settled on the summer of 1985 ( but before the events of season 3 take place) i decided to write as a separated thing outside part 4 of the headcanon series because it was heavily inspired by a song (once more), and more in tone with said song that with the overall ideas for the next part.

Would you want me to post it anyways? It's almost ready, i am only doubtfull about if it's worth sharing or not.

So, i read a sad post about Steve that touches the point of the timeline i am working on for my stranger thing series. It got me and i'm feeling the need of doing something about that.

Since I already wrote an Eddie drabble and an oneshot, would you want to read something centered on Steve? It would be either a drabble or oneshot about the Henderson siblings, Dustin and the reader, being the only ones that show up at his graduation.

Ask for the headcanon series followers or just any casual reader seeing this: would you like me to post that? It's most likely i will write it anyways at some point, but I would like to know if should share it or not.

Notes: Im once again reminding you that my memory of the timelines suck, sorry for that. Like i mentioned in a recent post, this goes deep into the prom headcanons because i got very into imagining that concept. That means that this series is going to be at least one part longer than what I expected. In between this and part 4 I will be as well posting an oneshot that will follow the inmediate moment after this one’s ending. 

Also, I was halfway into writing this when I stumbled across this smut headcanon post for Eddie that blessed my dash and gave me some unusual inspiration. If you want to get more context for why I included that casual little hint of smut, reading that and being unable to stop the thoughts in my head afterwards made me do it.

- News would travel fast but you decided to act faster by telling all your friends about your date. After all, you had nothing to hide because you were doing nothing wrong. 

- Well, almost nothing. Steve’s invitation was a huge surprise. Despite it having perfectly logical motives,you couldn't help feeling... Flattered? Amazed? He seemed so worried about your answer, it wasn't what you would expect from a friend that was simply asking you a favor... Why did he have to make you feel like a pretty girl for it? 

- That was exactly how you felt, for as ridiculous as it sounded to you... and he was causing it. His adorable nerves were something new, never before you saw a guy reacting like that in front of you. Even when you knew you weren't the case, you felt like one of those truly gorgeous girls that make boys stutter when they approach them.

I am very close to finish part 3 of the stranger things headcanons and i gotta say that I’m putting so much music into this. There is like a mini playlist built on references lol. 

I regret nothing.

I know i have said it a lot of times, but it really took me by surprise how much people are loving this concept and every message fills me with joy. I didn’t imagine at all i was going to be writing continuations when i posted the first part. It was a “ Well, i have this ideas that wouldn’t let me think on anything else because of how overwhelmed with feels for this characters I am, let’s write it and see if that gets it out of the system”. Then i got such incredible feedback plus my own inspiration (that didn’t decreased at all, like i once thought, after writing the first post) keep increasing and I’m continuing to work on the concept with so much excitement about it. 

For part 2 i got very carried away because i was already hiper excited and i ended up a bit afraid i could be overwhelming you all with the cultural references, but i loved the result that way and i’m very happy to see many people also liked it.  

I’m working on what’s next and I can’t wait to share it with you all. The series may be at least one part longer than what i thought because this third part will get into prom headcanons ( preparatives, character reactions to the news about the reader being Steve’s date for his prom and, particularly, Hellfire’s reaction, etc), then in a next one i will get into season 3. 

Hi!!!

Just want to let everyone know that I will not be here a lot for today because i'm logging off to avoid vol 2 spoilers.

I also want to tell that I'm working on the Stranger Things concept that has hijacked my writing creativity and daydreaming plot time since finishing vol 1 and i have a quick question for the readers of this little headcanon series i am writing about it.

Would you want to read an entire set of headcanons about Steve going to his prom with the reader before the into season 3 part 3 i was planning? Part 3 was going to include all in once, but what i have wrote for it so far is going deep into the prom headcanons and that made me think I could make a separate post for that.

Let me know what you think and that may help me decide. Since I can't watch the show today, i will be writing to keep myself hyped.

Stranger Things Headcanons: Being Dustin’s older sister, a nerdy metalhead, and becoming closer with Eddie and Steve - Part 2

Warnings: Jealous Eddie and a bit of idiots in love on all sides. The reader is a protective older sister who is very angry at Billy because of what he did to the kids in season 2. For so, he isn’t referenced in a good light. Cultural references to lord of the rings, hard rock bands and popular horror movies of the 80′s.

Notes: This is a direct continuation to a previous post, following some ideas that stayed out of it. Here i got the chance to include and even expand those. 

Also, I have possibly usable material for 2 more parts. One continuing from the end of this one and going a bit more into the season 3 setting, then another one (that i can begin to think after watching the rest of it) for season 4.

- One more interdimensional crisis afterwards, your brother had two new friends while an old one returned to stay. 

- Strictly speaking, Max and El were the girlfriends of Lucas and Mike respectively, but you were excited the most about them being friends of Dustin. Seeing him forming bonds with girls from a young age meant a lot to you, it was a great sign showing that he wasn't going to repeat your story. You would always insist on showing him what a great thing it was because at first he used to feel bad about the overall reaction girls had to him. None wanted to dance with him at that dance his school organized, at least until Nancy saved the night. As his sister, you would have looked bad if you would try a similar trick, reason why you were very thankful to her for such a sweet gesture. 

- It made him feel better that time, but it didn't completely erase his insecurities. Steve and you were working together to help him out, but from absolutely opposite fronts. While he would share with him his wisdom as an ex popular highschool heartthrob, you were trying to make Dustin understand that he wasn't failing for not having a girlfriend. 

- " That is easy for you to say now that you are a groupie. " He shamelessly replicated once to one of your pieces of advice, making fun of your sneak outs to the shows of Eddie's band.
