If ronance was to happen for real, how would you want it to play out? Also, do you have any thoughts on Natalia’s unwavering support for the ship?
If Ronance is canon, there are two main obstacles; their current love interests. It's quite easy to get rid of Johnathan and Nancy's relationship by having them break up when Nancy realizes they can't go to college together. For Robin and Vickie, I'm less sure. Maybe they could have Robin feel some intense jealousy over Johnathan and Nancy and realize that might not be platonic and then Vickie could be used to show how she acts around girls she likes so we recognise that she likes Nancy. Considering a time skip, I don't think it's too crazy to have that be the case and to have her get over those feelings.
After both of those moments, we then have a two year jump. Nancy is at Emerson, Robin is at community college with Steve. They kept in touch whilst they were apart but not romantically. We could maybe even get hints that Nancy likes girls, like her getting nervous when talking to a girl from college. There's then some emergency that brings them all back to Hawkins meaning we get to see Robin and Nancy reunite.
Robin and Nancy team up again to do detective work because they're such a great team and as they spend more time together we get a lot of romantic hints. Eventually the world is ending and Nancy decides that just in case one of them die, she's going to confess how she feels. They end up kissing and they hold hands together as they walk into the final battle. Post final battle we see them as a duo in whatever is left of Hawkins, holding hands or kissing or something along those lines.
In terms of Natalia's unwavering support of Ronance, I think it's a reflection of how good the ship is. I'm not sure if she's a big fan of the love triangle and she always brings it around to Ronance whenever she's asked. It could be partially diversion because she's sick of talking about the love triangle but I also think she's genuinely a fan of the ship because of stuff like her having a group chat with Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke about Ronance which feels like dedication for a meme or a diversion. She has a shit ton of chemistry with Maya (romantic or otherwise) so I think they're able to see the potential in this pairing.
