hi, I'm Kitty, she/her! I occasionally go by different names on the internet, but around here it's just Kitty. I'm an artist, musician, and writer with a fondness for weird worldbuilding and folklore. This is my pinned post where I briefly outline all of my creative work, for quick reference. I do a lot of creative things.

If you're here mainly for fandom things, I write fanfiction for a scattering of fandoms - often Doctor Who and adjacent, although occasionally I branch out. You can find me under TheBigCat on AO3. I also draw - a lot! - mostly fandom stuff. Here's my general art tag. I bind books and fanfiction in my spare time, and have an entire blog dedicated to that at @perfectlynormalbooks.

For non-fandom writing, my Medium blog has a few short pieces of original fiction. Whenever I write more short pieces, they'll most likely go up there!

I wrote the visual novel/interactive fiction game, Antigone Will Take The Stairs Today, an adaptation of the Sophocles tragedy. I'm hoping to do more games in the near future - both video games and TTRPG. You can find all of that sort of thing on my itch.io page.

I do a Doctor Who TTRPG campaign with my friends called Thieves and TARDISes, which kind of took on a life and mind of its own. I play a future Doctor incarnation, and occasionally GM! We have audio recordings and transcripts of that, among other things. You can find more about that over here.

I write music! Mostly instrumental tracks and soundtracks for various things I make. You can find completed albums over on my Bandcamp and less incomplete, experimental things over on my Soundcloud.

My music project about an apocalyptic techno-fantasy future featuring Weird FAE and monsterhunters is Child 306, and you should totally go check it out, there's milfs in there.

I also have a YouTube channel where I do even more music-y things when the fancy takes me, as well as some art and animation-type things, small goofy jokes of indeterminate format, and the occasional nerdy video essay.

ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!

DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely. DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.
ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!
JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!
JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)
CALLIOPE: i realized i hadn't ever made a piece with Us in the same place at once. u_u CALLIOPE: bUt since it's reality now here's all of Us together, United at last! ^u^

being a writer leads to a genuinely helpful but also very stupid kind of mindfulness where you'll be having a sobbing breakdown or the worst anxiety attack of your life and think "okay, I really need to pay attention to how this feels. so I can incorporate it into my fanfiction."

200 Word RPGs 2024

Each November, some people try to write a novel. Others would prefer to do as little writing as possible. For those who wish to challenge their ability to not write, we offer this alternative: producing a complete, playable roleplaying game in two hundred words or fewer.

This is the submission thread for the 2024 event, running from November 1st, 2024 through November 30th, 2024. Submission guidelines can be found in this blog's pinned post, here.

When All You Have is a Gun Everything Looks [Verb]able

Requires several players and a GM

Players:

Before the GM tells you what the plot/tone/setting/etc of the game is going to be, make the most Rule of Cool DeviantArt-OC-ass character you can think of and give them a revolver with six chambers. They should be named something like Saint Vermillion Dragongod or some dope shit like that.

Load this revolver with six actions, things like “kill someone” or “schmooze” or “teleport behind ‘em.” Besides moving around, talking, and breathing, these are the ONLY actions you can take, and you can only take them in the order they fill the chambers. When you’ve taken all six actions, you can reload your actions in any order you’d like, but you CANNOT change the actions themselves.

Do not coordinate your action choices with other players.

GM:

Once everyone has made their characters, throw them into a heist or a dungeon crawl or whatever you think will be funny. Their specific actions always succeed, but they can do literally nothing but those things in that order. If no one can do anything, you all lose and a big snake eats the sun or something. Rinse and repeat.

Oh, you've come to the right place! It is my opinions that all Seventh Doctor serials are bangers, not a single dropped ball, and you could honestly just go through from start to end and have a great time. But if you're looking for some specific favorites...

Remembrance of the Daleks - for that good good Ace-beating-up-a-Dalek energy. lots of explosions, lots of action, just a lot of fun.

Curse of Fenric - we can AND will repel the vampires. with the power of communism. and mommy issues. eldritch entities being let loose at the end of world war II. chess for the sake of the universe. this one's a classic for a reason, and also features Seven's Ultimate Dick Move

Ghost Light - a lot of people claim that this one is confusing, but I've never understood that. Even if you do find it confusing, it's more about the vibes. It's a freaky haunted house episode with some solid Ace character and backstory work.

Survival - SUCH a great end to the classic series. there are lesbian furry cheetahs on motorcycles. ace is ambiguously bi. the doctor gets into a motorcycle duel with the master and ends up face-first in the trash. what more could you want. i recommend watching everything else first before this one but if you want to skip here directly i understand. it's peak.

I LOVE it when characters are awful actually! I LOVE it when characters cause conflict! I LOVE it when characters are horrible to everyone INCLUDING THEMSELVES!!! I LOVE it when a character turns themself into a bomb, slowly ticking down before taking everything with them! I LOVE it when characters hurt people and then when confronted by this DOUBLE DOWN ON THEIR BEHAVIOR!!!!
